October 4, 2009 will begin a new era in smart phones with the launch of Garmin's nuviphone G60.  With AT&T as a partner, Garmin International, Inc. promises the latest in personal navigation devices as this integrates phone service into this device along with GPS, voice, data, email and mobile web functions.

Whether customers use it mounted on your dash or carrying it in your pocket, Garmin expects this device to navigate all aspects of your everyday life.

The GPS features are the same as you would expect from your regular in car Garmin unit.  It's preloaded with all maps and points of interest for North America.  The "Where am I" feature will give you latitude and longitude of your current location.

Feel free to surf the web on AT&T's 3G network, or through your wifi hotspot.  The touchscreen will have an easy to use QWERTY keyboard.  The 3 megapixel camera contains an auto-focus, and can geo-tag the images as you take them.

The nuvifone G60 will be available on October 4 from your local AT&T retailer.  The coat is $299 after the $100 mail in rebate.  For more information you can go to www.nuvifone.com.
