An earthquake registering 5.6 on the Richter Scale shook Venezuela earlier today. The tremors from this quake came from an area about 800 miles from where the 7.o earthquake happened in Haiti.
The earthquake happned near the Caribbean coastal town of Carupano, Venezuela, rattling nerves as well as structures. Radio reports said the tremor was felt in a wide area stretching to the Caribbean island of Margarita, a popular holiday destination for European tourists.
