Can't say enough about the reporting and coverage from the various networks telling the horrific story that is Haiti. I've been really impressed by the job Fox News' Bill Hemmer has done.
I've always liked his reporting style and demeanor, but he has outshone the competition in his coverage from eathquake ravaged Port-Au-Prince.
“You can drive for eight hours, and the misery never ends,” Hemmer told viewers. “And neither does the destruction. Block after block, street after street, it takes your breath away.”
In an email, Hemmer described the soccer field (being used as kind of a hospital) as sea of “bedsheets, blue and white tarps, plastic sheets used for cover from the daytime heat.”
“The trail of desperation and need,” he added. “It doesn’t end.”
A terrible tale to tell from Haiti.
