Don't forget to listen to the AudioBoo for the "flyer" of the week.
Whew! The U.S. Open is in the books and it was an amazing performance by Rory McIlroy. Nobody was going to stop him at Congressional.
It's up the East Coast this week for the Travelers Championship at the TPC at River Highlands.
Many of the top players in the world will be taking the week off, but the field includes Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, and Zach Johnson. Bubba Watson is back as the defending champ as he won in 2010 in an exciting playoff.
Here is this week's buy, sell, or hold.
Buy:
Geoff Ogilvy (A) - Ogilvy is coming off a disappointing missed cut at the U.S. Open and this would be a good event for him to get back on track at. Look for him to be in contention.
Ricky Barnes (A) - Likes this course and this event. Finished T-5 last year.
Webb Simpson (B) - Played well last week at the U.S. Open and played well at The Memorial before that.
Hunter Mahan (B) - A former champion here, is always a good play at this event.
J.J. Henry (B) - The 2006 champ. He's been making a lot of cuts, but not a lot of strong finishes. Maybe this is his week.
Scott Verplank (C) - A good finish here last year and is always a threat to win again.
Kevin Chappell (C) - How about the week Chappell had at the U.S. Open? He had a T-3 and a 2nd earlier this year. Remember the name of this good young player.
Sell:
Alex Prugh (B) - He plays just about every week and misses the cut just about every week.
Stuart Appleby (B) - Stuart is not playing well this year. He has missed the cut in 8 of his last 9 events.
Kevin Kisner (C) I don't know much about this player, but he has 9 missed cuts in 12 events this year.
Hold:
Kenny Perry (B) - Kenny Perry used to play well at this tournament every year. He won it as recently as 2009. His game is not that sharp, but maybe you feel like he can make a run this week.
