Using strong serves and returns of serve, Petra Kvitova won the Ladies Wimbledon Singles Championship today in England.

Kvitova beat Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-4.  Sharapova struggled with her serve and consistency throughout the match.  She showed signs of life in the second set, breaking the Czech to even the set at 3-3, but Kvitova took her game up another notch breaking right back.

Kvitova finished the match off with a hold at love and her first ace of the match to clinch the title. It is Kvitova's first Grand Slam title.
