Thanks to Doug Evans for having me back on to do our annual Black Friday apps and misc segment.

Here it is with notes on what we talked about to follow:

Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

1. BFAds.net

BFads.net is  focused on ad leaks.

Looking for the latest on Black Friday deals and ad leaks?

Like I said, BFads.net should be you one stop for finding out the latest on everything Black Friday.

Here, BFads.net explains the fascination with Black Friday.

Retailers typically offer their lowest prices of the year on items in several categories, from electronics to home items. In recent years, Black Friday has grown so popular that people have started to camp out overnight to increase their chances of getting big-ticket deals. The name "Black Friday" comes from it being the first day that retailers started making a profit - known as "being in the black."

Michael Brim is the founder of BFads.net and he says the annual shopping holiday gets bigger each year.

"One thing we've seen and it's a continuing trend, is opening hours have creeped further and further into Thanksgiving," explains Brim.  "Well see, but maybe other big box retailers might open even earlier.

Maybe in the afternoon on Thanksgiving."

BFads.net is a website and a easy to use app that tracks Black Friday news, sales and more.

That includes Cyber Monday, which is always the Monday after Thanksgiving.

"Cyber Monday has grown," adds Brim.  "Most retailers that are pushing it are online retailers like Newegg. "These companies are competting for a valuable demographic- anything a smaller retailer can do is great."

Visitors to BFads.net may notice a few cosmetic changes in 2014 and some additional content. Brim says the buyer's guides are always popular and customers really like to cross-compare the deals among multiple retail outlets.

2. BuyVia

A website and app that allows shoppers to not only do comparison shopping on th fly, but now it allows you to make purchases right through the iOS app with the help of password wallet integration and the Touch ID.

Why run from store to store and wait in multiple lines when you can use the power and experise of BuyVia?
