Howard Stern to 'America's Got Talent'

Howard Stern has officially signed on to join "America's Got Talent" as a judge, replacing CNN host Piers Morgan.

Rumors started circling earlier this fall that Stern was being considered by Simon Cowell, as Morgan's replacement, but Stern had some demands. It was reported that Stern was asking for a $20 million salary and for the show to move to New York so he could continue to do his radio show.
According to his show's twitter account, Stern will start shooting in February and "actually be traveling the country to do the audition rounds."

It will be reason enough to watch the show to see how Stern and "The Hof" interact.

St. Louis Radio Host Suspended For Twitter Replies

St. Louis radio talkshow host JC Corcoran has reportedly been suspended from KTRS for his tweets Sunday and Monday. In a video on his website today and also on Twitter, Corcoran blamed the Riverfront Times for drumming up attention about his profane tweets directed at his critics.

"It's the usual suspect. The RFT and these little slimes that sort of buzz around," said Corcoran in his "Daily Dose" online.

Earlier this month, KTRS (550 AM) personality JC Corcoran caused a stir in the local sports world when he announced on Twitter that Albert Pujols would announce a new contract with the Cardinals on November 18.

The Cardinals denied the rumor, and November 18 came and went with Pujols remaining a free agent. Now, Corcoran has another prediction.

Yesterday he tweeted that the Cardinals would soon announce a new deal for the slugger that is "significantly less than ten years."

Cardinals fans on Twitter weren't having any of it. They mocked Corcoran online, comparing him to a modern-day version of the "Boy Who Called Wolf."

Though judging from Corcoran's responses on Twitter, and I won't publish them here, but search away and judge for yourself.

First U.S. Station Goes "All Christmas"

It's Christmas in October, at least for one radio station in New Jersey.

WEZW (93.1 FM), also known as "Easy 93.1" in Wilwood Crest, New Jersey has just become the first broadcast station in the country to begin programming all-holiday music, 24/7.

Station owner Gary Fisher of Equity Comm. likes being first in the Santa music game, notes Tom Taylor of the trade publication Radio-info.com. Last year it was one of his urban stations and this year it's an "adult contemporary" station.

WEZW can't be heard in the New York area, where WPAT-FM has the 93.1 FM frequency, but it can be heard on the web at www.Easy931.com.

Fisher has a place on the station website for listeners to vote for their favorites and thus help program the station.

The website also has a Christmas countdown clock, which now stands around 67 days, for those who would like to start feeling the shopping and other holiday pressures as soon as possible.

Bob Uecker and His Historic Call of Nyjer Morgan's Hit

Bob Ueckers call of Nyjer Morgans winning hit (mp3)

It doesn't get any better than Bob Uecker calling a Brewer victory on the radio, except if it is in the playoffs.

This is a call for the ages, Brewer fans.  Have a listen, it's been almost 30 years!
