Wednesday's Match to Watch at The U.S. Open

Jurgen Melzer(AUT) vs.   Marat Safin(RUS)

 

Head on over to Armstrong Stadium court to watch this match.  Safin says he is easing into retirement at years end.  Melzer is a flashy lefthander who likes to play aggressive tennis.  Melzer gives some players fits.  Safin is known to have fits.  Melzer's best result in New York is the third round.  Safin won in 2000.  That seems like a long time ago.  He hasn't been to the quarter-finals since 2001.

A tough match to call.  Should be lot's of fireworks.  Safin in 5.
