The New Trend in Airports... Goats

The Chicago Department of Aviation and O'Hare Airport are looking for a few good goats.

WFLD-TV reports that Chicago recently put out a bid for someone to supply goats to trim the grass at O'Hare International Airport. The bid also calls for a goat herder.

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta started using goats this week.

Amy Malick is the department's point person for sustainability, and she says the city is looking at a pilot program of 30 goats to eat grass and weeds in one, hard-to-mow area. She says the area is outside the security fence, so there's no danger of goats straying onto the runways.

Malick adds that the department also worries about pollution produced by mechanical mowers, so they're turning to the four-legged variety.

San Francisco has been using goats for years.

Bees Swarm Philippine Airport

Swarms of bees mysteriously appeared at several air bridges at the Philippines main international airport on Thursday, briefly interrupting the boarding of passengers, an airport spokeswoman said.

The bees swarmed around the control panels of six air bridges, the mobile corridors that connect the aircraft to the terminal, preventing the operators from using the equipment, said airport media officer Consuelo Bungag.

"What we did was use the vacuum cleaners to clear them out of the control panels. We also resorted to manual swatting to hasten the process," she said.

Passengers on two domestic flights were forced to board their flights using mobile stairs because of the insects, said Bungag.

Airport authorities are working with the quarantine bureau to find out where the bees could have come from, she added.

Young Boy Strip Searched at Salt Lake City Airport (Video)

This boy went through a metal detector and didn't set it off but was somehow selected for a pat down. The little boy didn't understand why he was being singled out, so the TSA couldn't complete the full pat on the young boy.

The boy's father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but  it didn't end up being enough for the guy.

The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

What security threat could this little boy pose at the Salt Lake City Airport?  This is a travesty and not necessary.  Hopefully a Utah Congressman or Senator sees this and calls for action.
