BB&T Atlanta Open Media Day

Tuesday, June 21, was the annual BB&T Atlanta Open Media Day at AtlanticStation.

Dozens of media and other dignitaries came out for the unveiling of the player field, to see the new practice courts and to hear from tournament officials.

A pro tennis tournament like the BB&T Atlanta Open couldn't thrive without help from a loyal and hard working legion of volunteers.

On Saturday, June 18, "Volunteer Orientation" was held for the 2016 BB&T Atlanta Open and Tournament Director, Eddie Gonzalez, spent time talking about the role of the volunteers and how they are the engine that makes the tournament run.  See more about this upcoming tournament at www.bbtatlantaopen.com.

Agassi to Play Olympic Rematch vs. Bruguera in Atlanta During BB&T Atlanta Open

Andre Agassi coming back to Atlanta. It's been 20 years since he won gold in Atlanta.

So during the BB&T Atlanta open, Agassi and Sergi Bruguera will stage a rematch of their Gold Medal Singles match during the 1996 Olympic Games.

It's a big deal for Olympics fans as well as tennis fans.

John Isner Media Appearances in Atlanta

Sometimes a defending champion of an event will have media obligations prior to the playing of the following year's event.

Such was the case on Monday, as 3-time defending champ of the BB&T Atlanta Open, John Isner was in and all over Atlanta talking to media about the 2016 BB&T Atlanta Open, starting July 30.
