Coyotes Close Atlanta Park
Emma Millican Park in Southwest Atlanta is currently closed because a den of coyotes is lving near the park.
The park is just houses away from Capital View Elementary School, is a popular spot for children to run and ride bicycles.
Sharon Davis, with the city's parks department, said the den of coyotes live on a private property adjacent to the park. The city, Davis said, decided to close the park as a precaution.
The city hopes to be able to re-open the park within 48 hours, after a wildlife contractor has surveyed the area.
Residents have noticed strange animals in the area for a few weeks. One resident thought it might be a fox, another thought it was a strange looking dog.
