Burglar Arrested By Trail of Cheetos

Forget the "Fritos Bandito."

A man has been arrested thanks to a trail of Cheetos.

Austin Lee Westfall Presler, of South Carolina, was caught by local police after spilling the snack food while opening the packet - leaving a trail of Cheetos to his house.

According to WLTX-TV, Presler smashed the front glass and stole items such as beer, cigarettes and snacks from a Cassatt Country shop.

Following the trail, authorities were led to directly to the front porch of Presler's house.

Presler, 19, was taken into custody on Sunday (January 6) and was charged with second-degree burglary.

The man was taken to the Kershaw County Detention Center and released on a $15,000 bond.

Ah Nuts! Truckloads of Nuts Stolen

Two truckloads of walnuts, totaling 80,000 pounds, have disappeared and authorities are saying they were stolen.  In both cases, the walnuts from Northern California never reached their intended destinations.

So far, authorities believe the cases are related. They suspect the delivery driver, who they believe to have been an impostor (although they remained puzzled, as he was able to obtain the correct purchase numbers for the walnuts). Authorities describe him as a “suspicious” 6-foot-2-inch tall man with a strong Russian accent, driving a white semi.
