NFL Playoff Play of the Day: Baltimore Ravens

The early game today is the Ravens and the Texans.

The Ravens are at home and giving Houston 7.5 points.

With an inexperienced quarterback, the Texans face an uphill battle against the Raven's D.

Look for Balitmore to win by two touchdowns and cover the points in this one.  Joe Flacco and Ray Rice both have big days and the Baltimore defense shuts down the Texans.

Take the Ravens and give the points today.

Week 17: NFL Play of the Week

The Houston Texans

The Texans take on a depleted Jaguars squad today at 4:15.

For the Jags, David Garrard is out as is Maurice Jones-Drew.  The Texans aren't playing for anything at this point, and word is head coach Gary Kubiak will be returning again next season.  You can classify this as another disappointing season for the team in Houston.  I say the Texans will cover the three they are giving Jacksonville.

The Texans have proved they can hang with the best teams in the AFC as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

This isn't my strongest play of the year, but you should be able to pony up a little and ride the Texans this week to a victory.  Take the Texans and give the 3 pts.

Miracles Do Happen in Jacksonville

An unbelievable finish that had to be seen to be believed, Houston cornerback Glover Quin batted a Hail Mary pass in the end zone into the arms of Mike Thomas on the final play of regulation.

A surprised Thomas caught the 50-yard pass inside the 1-yard line and walked into the end zone to give the Jaguars a stunning 31-24 victory over the Texans just when it seemed the teams were headed for overtime.

What a great catch.
