Limpert Tech on iHeartRadio 8/5/23 - Phil Dalhausser, AVP Pro, Four-time Olympian

Rick is joined by AVP beach volleyball pro, Phil Dalhausser this segment. The 6'9" hitter is still going strong in 2023 on the AVP Tour.

Have a listen:

He and his former playing partner, Todd Rogers, were the 2007 AVP Tour and FIVB world champions.

Dalhausser and Rogers dominated both the domestic US tour and now the FIVB international tour winning #1 team honors on both tours in 2010. Dalhausser and Rogers were Olympic gold medalists at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics.

Dalhausser and Rogers failed to defend their gold medal at the London 2012 Summer Olympics. The pair was ousted in the round of 16 by the young Italian team of Paolo Nicolai and Daniele Lupo, losing in straight sets for the first time in their Olympic careers.

He paired up with Nick Lucena for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, winning their debut match against Tunisia in straight sets.

At the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena made it into the quarterfinals match where they played against Brazil's top-ranked team of 6-foot-8 Alison "The Mammoth" Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt. There they were eliminated by a 2-1 (21-14, 12–21, 15-9) scoreline, by the hometown's favorite team.

Dalhausser and Lucena made it again to the 2020 Olympics where they finished 9th after a 1-2 against Cherif/Ahmed from Qatar.

16 women’s teams and 16 men’s teams playing for a purse of $300,000 total

Taryn and Kristen are expected to be the second seeds in the women’s bracket

The first seeds will be Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes. Third will be Terese Cannon and Sarah Sponcil. All three are battling for two spots in the Olympics next year. (To be clear, AVP events don’t count toward Olympic qualification, but they still battle each other and learn about each others’ games so when they face each other in international events, it helps them).

We talk about the Olympic qualifying process.

Taryn and Kristen are 2021 LSU graduates and were standouts on the Tigers’ beach volleyball team. Taryn was also a highly successful indoor player at Creighton.

They won the 2021 Atlanta Open in their first tournament on the AVP, beating Kelly Cheng and Sarah Sponcil (who had just played together in the Olympics) in the women’s final.

Last year, they won three of the seven tournaments they played on the AVP – Austin, Chicago and Phoenix

This year, they have played in two AVP events and reached the semifinals in both.

On the international tour, they won twice last year and have won twice so far this year.

Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on ALT 105.7 and iHeartRadio 8/14/21 - Lisa LeBlanc of KLENSKIN Sunscreens and More

Great to meet up with Lisa LeBlanc of KLENSKIN at the Atlanta Open AVP stop.

Have a listen:

KLÄ’NSKIN® is the culmination of over 20 years of specialized research seeking to create a user-friendly sunscreen that could be Showered On. CoLabs Intl. Corp® utilizes a specially engineered capsule of non allergenic materials. The wrapped active ingredients help reduce the systemic uptake and remain topically on the skin, thus creating a protective layer. This in turn means less penetration and essentially creates a barrier between the skin and the sun's harmful UV radiation. In addition to making the sunscreen more effective, the technology also locks in natural moisture and hydrates with our encapsulated oils that open and deliver conditioners.

All active ingredients are encapsulated to minimize absorption into the skin
    Encapsulated oils for moisturization benefits
    Naturally derived capsule material
Positively charged encapsulates and delivery system is attracted to negatively charged skin during washing & stays on after rinsing and pat drying
This cosmetically elegant micro-emulsion leaves a soft, smooth feel with no greasy or sticky residue
Encapsulated actives help reduce the (TEWL) or Trans Epidermal Water Loss due to the nature of the capsule wall material and its ability to layer on the skin
All Products are designed by a Board Certified Dermatologist
All testing is done by an independent laboratory
    Paraben Free formulation
No Animal Testing and Made in the USA

I love the passion and information from Lisa! Great products!
