Limpert Tech on iHeartRadio 3/3/23 - Steve Carlson of T-Mobile

Rick is joined by Steve Carlson of T-Mobile this week.

Have a listen:

New Samsung Galaxys!

The new Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup is available and only T-Mobile’s network can unleash their full potential with 5G standalone three-carrier aggregation now live in parts of the network.  Simply put, our network enables faster speeds and better responsiveness than phones without that network capability – that’s 16% faster on average!

Millions of Americans upgrading to a new phone shouldn’t be held back by their provider. With the Un-carrier's leading 5G network, T-Mobile customers can tap into the latest network capabilities on the newest smartphones.

Who it’s for: Anyone looking to get the most out of their latest 5G device … meaning faster speeds, better responsiveness and 5G in more places than ever before.

Check out the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+ and S23 in stores and online here with availability starting Friday, Feb. 17. And only T-Mobile’s network can light up 5G standalone three-carrier aggregation, unleashing the new 5G devices to their full potential with faster speeds and better responsiveness than phones without it. New and existing customers can get the Samsung Galaxy S23+ for free (up to $1000 off) when trading in on Magenta MAX or the Samsung Galaxy S23 for free (up to $800 off) when adding a line on Magenta MAX via 24 monthly bill credits … plus even more deals on almost any plan including business.

“T-Mobile customers get a no compromises experience: the leading 5G network and industry-leading value. Now, we’re taking that experience to the next level with new speed and performance boosting technology (5G standalone three-carrier aggregation) available with the Galaxy S23 lineup only on T-Mobile’s network,” said Mike Sievert, CEO at T-Mobile. “ The Un-carrier is the only place you can unleash the full potential of Samsung’s latest super phones.”

Leading 5G Network

As America’s leader in 5G, starting 2023 off with even more network awards, T-Mobile continues to be ahead of the game as the only wireless provider to enable 5G standalone three-carrier aggregation in parts of the network — combining three channels of mid-band 5G. That’s like adding more lanes on a highway where traffic is free to zoom freely and faster than before.

Just take a look at how the Samsung Galaxy S21 (without three-carrier aggregation) compares to the new Samsung Galaxy S23 on T-Mobile!

Speeds differ by location; typical download speeds on T-Mobile’s 5G network are between 43-143 Mbps with peaks over 1Gbps.

This just goes to show why upgrading to the latest devices with the latest network capabilities can make a real impact with faster speeds and better responsiveness than ever before. A device with three-carrier aggregation enabled can be 16% faster on average than one without it. In fact, T-Mobile engineers have seen peak speeds topping 3 Gbps! And it doesn’t end there. As T-Mobile's momentum continues, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will also be among the first to leverage 5G standalone four-carrier aggregation in the future.

All three of the Galaxy S23 smartphones are enabled with this capability. To help decide which of the Galaxy S23 lineup to choose from, check out the full list of offers and device specs below:

Free Samsung Galaxy S23+ (or $1000 off any in the S23 lineup) with eligible trade-in on Magenta MAX or 50% off the S23+ (or up to $500 off) with eligible trade-in on almost ANY plan.

Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on ALT 105.7 and iHeartRadio 11/16/20 - Rick and Axel talk New iPhones, T-Mobile REVVL 5G

Rick and Axel talk new smartphones on this iHeart bonus.

Have a listen:

New iPhones:

Axel talks the new iPhones. iPhone 12's. The iPhone 12 Mini has everything the iPhone 12 has -- it's just smaller. It has the same flat-sided design, support for 5G and OLED screen with support for HDR. The screen is covered with Apple's ceramic shield. The body has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and supports MagSafe wireless charging and accessories. It has the same A14 Bionic processor, runs the same iOS 14 software and even has the same cameras. The iPhone 12 and 12 Mini are the same phone. Great features, great cameras and more...

T-Mobile REVVL 5G:

T-Mobile with the best and most affordable 5G.

This is the next generation of REVVL smartphones: REVVL 4, REVVL 4+ and REVVL 5G - the most affordable 5G smartphone in the U.S., for both postpaid AND prepaid, at just $399.99 FRP.

Love that qT-Mobile launched the REVVL 5G to not only break through the price barrier to make 5G more accessible, but also to bring more value to 5G. The REVVL 5G brings high end specs without the high end price tag and all on the nation’s largest 5G network.

REVVL 5G, America’s most affordable 5G smartphone, ever. T-Mobile customers who switch or add a line can get the REVVL 4 or 4+ for free or the REVVL 5G for just $200 after 24 monthly bill credits.

Why it matters: 56% of consumers familiar with 5G are worried about the cost of 5G smartphones. T-Mobile believes that everyone should have 5G access included at no extra cost AND affordable 5G smartphones that can tap into it.

Who it’s for:  Everyone, especially those who like being on the cutting edge without breaking the bank.
REVVL 5G taps into T-Mobile’s LTE and 5G (600 MHz and 2.5 GHz) on the first and largest nationwide 5G network. And to truly bring #5GforALL for both prepaid and postpaid.

“We’ve made incredible waves in 5G — with more coverage than AT&T and Verizon combined and the WORLD’s first standalone 5G — but we knew to truly make #5GforALL a reality, we needed more affordable 5G smartphones,” said Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile. “And that’s why we’re launching the REVVL 5G — to smash one of the last remaining hurdles keeping people from getting 5G, at a time when America needs reliable connectivity the most.”

People are turning to their mobile devices even more to stay connected. An eMarketer2 study found that for the first time, adults will spend more than 3 hours a day on smartphones in 2020, a 13.9% increase over 2019! People are looking for more ways to stay connected without breaking the bank … now more than ever. Yet, 5G smartphones typically cost upwards of $1000. A recent Civic Science survey1 showed that 56% of consumers familiar with 5G worry about that high cost.

With REVVL 5G, T-Mobile continues to make more reliable 5G coverage more affordable to millions, helping them stay better connected on the nation’s largest 5G network. Meanwhile, Verizon is still over there making their customers pay a premium for 5G smartphones that get a 5G signal just 0.4% of the time. #TruthHurts

The REVVL line is known for its high-end specs without the high-end price tag and that continues with this next generation of REVVL smartphones. The REVVL 5G features a 6.53” FHD+ Display, a triple rear camera and a 16MP front facing camera as well as a 4,500 mAh battery to power this 5G capable smartphone. The REVVL 4+ features a 6.52” HD+ Display, dual rear facing cameras and a 4,000 mAh battery whereas the REVVL 4 sports a 6.22” HD+ display, 13MP rear camera, and a 3500 mAh battery. To see all of these in action, check out the unboxing video here.

Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on ALT 105.7 and iHeartRadio - New Smartphone News

Fall means not only the lead up to the holidays, but also new phones!

Apple had an announcement last week.

Apple began taking preorders for the iPhone XS and XS Max models, unveiled last Wednesday, with larger OLED screens, a faster A12 Bionic processor and improved cameras.

Rick is also at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta this week for the PGA Tour Championship- he gives us an update from the Media Center.

Have a listen to Rick and Sully talking new phones....

1.   The New Additions to Apple's Lineup

Apple began taking preorders for the iPhone XS and XS Max models, unveiled last week, with larger OLED screens, a faster A12 Bionic processor and improved cameras.
On Apple's site, both models are available in three versions: 64 Gigabytes, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Pricing: the XS starts at $999, the XS Max at $1,099. Phones will be available Sept. 21.

Also, Coming next month: the lower-cost iPhone XR (starting at $749), which sports a 6.1-inch LCD liquid display and a single 12-megapixel camera on the back of the device. Preorders start Oct. 19 and the XR is in stores Oct. 26.

Available in six finishes and with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, the iPhone XR promises an additional 90 minutes of longer battery life than the current 8 Plus model.

2. Apple Watch Series 4

Apple introduced Apple Watch Series 4, redesigned and re-engineered to help users stay connected, be more active and manage their health in powerful new ways. While retaining the original iconic design, the fourth-generation Apple Watch has been refined, combining new hardware and software enhancements into a genuinely singular, unified form. The stunning display is over 30 percent larger and seamlessly integrates into the thinner, smaller case, while the new interface provides more information with richer detail. Apple Watch Series 4 with watchOS 5 brings advanced activity and communications features, along with revolutionary health capabilities, including a new accelerometer and gyroscope, which are able to detect hard falls, and an electrical heart rate sensor that can take an electrocardiogram (ECG) using the new ECG app,1 which has been granted a De Novo classification by the FDA.

3. Coming soon... Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 is expected to be a complete reimagining of the company’s Android flagship, both inside and out. It’s said to be Samsung’s first phone with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded behind the display, and it sports a new triple-lens camera on the back. Samsung and Qualcomm’s first 7nm chipsets will power the phone, which will also feature next-generation RAM and flash memory chips. It’ll also reportedly feature a new evolution of the Infinity Display design that finally features an “all-screen” design like the phones other companies have released over the past year.

4. LG  V40 ThinQ

To be announced: October 3rd, NYC & Seoul

The first big announcement coming in October is from LG. As reported previously, the company has confirmed an event for October 3rd to launch its next major smartphone. The LG V40 ThinQ will be announced at simultaneous events in NYC and Seoul (October 4th local time). The phone is expected to further slim down the bezels from last year’s LG V30, but also to introduce a notch to the top of the OLED display. Internally, we’re also expecting a spec upgrade, as well as some features brought over from the LG G7 ThinQ such as the Boombox speak

5. Google Pixel 3 - There is a Google event on Oct 9, where a Pixel 3 is expected to be announced

As is the case every year, the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL will pack lots of upgrades over last year’s models. Many other things, however, are staying the same.

For a third year in a row, Google will be launching two phones that have identical specs and slightly different external appearances. The most obvious difference between the two is that the larger phone will have a large bottom chin and notch like other recent Android phones, while the smaller of the two will stick with a more traditional look. That said, the smaller Pixel 3 will have the rounded edges around the display — like what we saw with the 2 XL last year.
Like most years, the Pixels will be faster and have improvements when it comes to the camera.

6. Mint Mobile
www.mintmobile.com

- Not a phone but a service

Imagine life-changing and a cheaper, better phone plan from Mint Mobile. He is probably overpaying by hundreds or thousands of dollars each year with his current wireless carrier, but with plans starting at just $15 per month for 4G LTE data, he will end up saving tons of money down the line on his phone with Mint, which offers service on the T-Mobile network. He can pop the Mint Mobile SIM card into his current phone to activate the service and he won't have to change his number. If he doesn't have an unlocked phone – no problem – as you can also get him a new phone here from Mint Mobile.

3-month plans range from $15/month ($45 total) - $25/month ($75 total), and can be purchased at MintMobile.com/plans.

·   Lifts & Lightens the Upper Body
·   Energizes the Breathing
·   Activates the Core Abdominals

Just 30 minutes of daily use will retrain your body so that you can sit comfortably with legs uncrossed. SmartSeat™ weighs just three ounces but supports the weight of the torso, its design lifts only the SITTING bones, not the seat.   SmartSeat™ is made of a suede-like foam and comes in a protective bag with two portable wedges so that you can take sitting well with you anywhere.
SmartSeat™ is 19” long  with a 3” pommel at the front and flares to 7” at the back of the model. Wedges are 7”x 7”.

Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on iHeartRadio Radio 105.7 - CES 2017

Happy New Year and as 2017 begins, Rick was at CES in Las Vegas along with 200,000 other people looking at the latest in gadgets tech and getting a glimpse at what's coming in the future. Here, he and Sully have fun talking about Rick's adventures at CES.

Have a listen:

1.  New Phones

LG, Samsung, Burnerphone,  other smaller brands that fit a need.

2. LG's Levitating Speaker

LG plans to mesmerize visitors to the next CES with its new futuristic PJ9 bluetooth speaker, whose levitation is achieved through the use of electromagnets. The PJ9 combines its original design with high-quality sound that can be delivered indoors and outdoors.

The speaker has a battery life of about ten hours and when it is running low on power, it automatically descends onto its "levitation station" where it will recharge wirelessly without any intervention from the listener. As an added bonus, it also complies with the IPX7 norm, meaning that it will not be damaged by dust or immersion in water at depths of less than a meter, which makes it useful both indoors and outdoors.

LG has yet to communicate either the availability or the price tag for this surprising product.

3.  Sleep Number 360 smart bed

The bed that learns and reacts

Sleep Number’s 360 smart bed will forever transform the way people sleep. The new integrated design includes a proprietary algorithm (powered by SleepIQ technology) and machine learning to intuitively sense and automatically adjust all night for an effortless and optimized sleep experience.

4.  ShadeCraft's Sunflower Smart Patio Umbrella

Shadecraft, the pioneer of intelligent, autonomous outdoor living solutions, launches its premiere product, SUNFLOWER, the world’s first artificial intelligence-controlled, solar-powered, robotic patio shade.

SUNFLOWER uses artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) connectivity to track and tap the sun for optimal shade and energy collection. SUNFLOWER’s integrated security cameras provide consumers with added protection outside their homes through an autonomous robot. The robotic shade’s sensors provide real-time weather data, including UV radiation levels, humidity, air quality, and temperature, and detect wind and obstructions to ensure consumer safety.

5. Showerheads

- Moen - Moen’s new shower system lets you pre-heat the water from your smartphone. U by Moen is a controller that's installed in the shower to deliver more personalization (and hopefully save some time in the morning).
The device allows users to create preset settings for water temperature, so the shower can automatically warm up to the ideal temperature, and allows multiple users to program their own specific settings.

- Hydrao  - The new HYDRAO Loop and First smart showerheads and HYDRAO Drop smart shower light bring innovation, color, enjoyment – and now French design chic – to the bathroom. They are designed to increase awareness of water usage and encourage reduced water and energy consumption.
HYDRAO First will be the first product to become available internationally – starting tomorrow.
The designs of HYDRAO Loop and Drop have already won two new CES Innovation Awards:
HYDRAO Loop in the Smart Home category and HYDRAO Drop in Tech for a Better World.
