NASCAR Driver Given Breathalyzer at Track

NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger was given a breath test before he took to the track at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday.

It's because Allmendinger was arrested by Mooresville (N.C.) police early Thursday morning. He was placed on probation by NASCAR through the end of the season.  He blew a .08 on the Thursday Night breath test after leaving a bar.

Allmendinger, who is one of the bright young stars in NASCAR drives for Richard Petty Motorsports.  Allmendinger vows to get back the trust of fans, sponsors,and his team.

Allmendinger passed the breath test Friday at the track.  These is no word on whether he had to stand on one leg and say the alphabet backwards or try to walk a straight line.
