A High School Dunk You Don't Want to Miss

Gabe York

Gabe York is one of the top high school basketball players in the country and will be attending the University of Arizona next season.

At only 6'2", he's got some "ups".  Watch his head get well over the rim.  And the crowd seemed to like it a little.

ESPN's Spin Control on Offensive Jeremy Lin Headline

ESPN offered up an apology for an insensitive Jeremy Lin headline this morning.

Last night, ESPN.com’s mobile web site posted an offensive headline referencing Jeremy Lin at 2:30 am ET. The headline was removed at 3:05 am ET. We are conducting a complete review of our cross-platform editorial procedures and are determining appropriate disciplinary action to ensure this does not happen again. We regret and apologize for this mistake.

Following a Knick loss last night this was posted on ESPN's mobile site.

For a network that blankets the NBA and a story that is as big as Jeremy Lin's, this can't be good.

Muppets to Appear at Academy Awards

The Muppets are going to the Academy Awards.

Although the Oscar producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer have decided not to include onstage performances of the two nominated songs, including "Man or Muppet," they have booked the Muppets to be presenters on the show, ABC and the Academy announced on Friday.

But the new Muppet Walter, who sings the Bret McKenzie song "Man or Muppet" with Jason Segel, was shorted again: According to the press release, the Muppets power couple of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will handle the Oscar presenting duties.

The decision to omit the nominated songs from the Oscar show had led to an online petition to let the Muppets participate. As of Friday, the petition had received more than 62,000 signatures.
