'Dancing With the All-Stars' Brings Back Favorites

And some big-name music tonite as Pitbull and Justin Bieber will both promoting songs from their new albums.

There are slso some changes to the rules.

This season, one week the celebrity dancers will be in charge of everything for their dance other than the choreography. This means they will pick the music, theme and wardrobe, acting as creative directors for that week. This will be an interesting challenge for both the celebrities and the pros. The “Dance Duel” is also gone, and that is good news.

Also, fans have been told the judging will be tougher.  Len has to love that.

“Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” premieres Monday, Sept. 24 and features 13 couples. Eight are new pairings and five are original couplings, and everybody will agree it will be a fierce season.

Tune in.

They're Back....A 'Dancing With the Stars' All-Star Cast

ABC announced the “Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars” cast, or in other words, former contestants that have nothing else going on or have a lot of time on their hands. It was announced on Friday morning at Summer TV Press Tour 2012. The lineup is:

Bristol Palin

Pamela Anderson

Kelly Monaco

Melissa Rycroft

Shawn Johnson

Kirstie Alley

Joey Fatone

Helio Castroneves

Drew Lachey

Emmitt Smith

Apolo Ohno

Gilles Marini

Finally, ABC will let viewers vote for the 13th contestant — Sabrina Bryan, Carson Kressley or Kyle Massey — and the winner will be announced on “Good Morning America” on Aug. 27.

It will be interesting to see what pro dancers they get paired with as there are some former Julianne Hough partners on the list.

I hope Carson Kressley doesn't make it as I'm just about sick of him.

Fans Get Say in DWTS Contestant

Today, a new "Dancing With the Stars" cast will be announced and viewers will have a say in who hits the dance floor.

According to EW, and backed up by a tweet from host Tom Bergeron, viewers will be able to select the final contestant for the all-star cast of the latest "Dancing With the Stars" season.

EW reports viewers will be able to vote for their favorite out of three former contestants -- Carson Kressley is rumored to be one -- to get the final spot in the new cast of veteran dancers. According to PureDWTS.com, a "Dancing With the Stars" fansite, Kelly Monaco has been coy about involvement in the "Dancing With the Stars" all-stars season and recently hinted to fans that she'll need their help for something in the near future.

Donald Driver Goes Country on DWTS

It was down tot he final 3 last night on "Dancing With the Stars."

William Levy, Katherine Jenkins and Donald Driver.

I think Driver stole the show.

The Green Bay Packer was at his very best on his first dance, an Argentine tango with scintillating lifts. One of the judges, Len Goodman complained it was too careful. But Carrie Ann Inaba loved it, and Bruno Tonioli said the dance was effective. Points: 29, with 9 from Goodman.

The freestyle dance was next.

Driver and partner, Peta Murgatroyd went country on a high-energy routine with exceptional lifts. She was remarkable in the way she moved through the routine, with Driver's help.  The crowd loved it and so did the judges.  Inaba said it was her favorite dance of the night. "Fantastic," Goodman ruled. Points: 30, more perfection.

Points awarded by judges on Monday night were: Jenkins 30, Levy 29 and Driver 29.  It's anyone's guess who will win.

The winner will be named in a two-hour extravaganza that starts at 9 p.m. Tuesday on ABC.
