Rex Grossman is Still in the NFL?

He's the second-sring quarterback with the Redskins, unil Donovan McNabb was pulled at the end of the game and Grossman was put in.

Grossman proceeded to do what he does best, which is get sacked, turn the ball over, and blow the game.

Favre Will Start

Was there any question Brett Favre would start if he can walk?  The question now is how long can he last?  We'll find out today at 4:15 when the Vikings take on the Patriots.

My expectations are to play and play well enough for us to have a chance to win this game," Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder on Saturday.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Jackson finishes this game, if the Vikings get down big early, and they might because New England will be relentless against Favre and remember he has 2 fractres in his ankle.  Mark my word, Favre will bench himself as soon as this game is out of reach.

I have to think Tarvaris Jackson will et in this game and be more effective that Favre.

Week 8: NFL Play of the Week

The St. Louis Rams are the play today.

Carolina goes to St. Louis today and the Rams are only giving 2.5 pts.

That's it, 2.5 points.  The Rams have been a pleasant surprise this year, and with Sam Bradford and a host of other young players, the future looks bright.

Carolina, like many other teams has been bit by the injury bug.  Unlike other teams, the Panthers don't have the depth to cover for it.

The Rams will win by two touchdowns today.

Bonus pick - The UNDER in the Redskins / Lions game.  Go under the 44.5.

10/30/10 College Football Plays of the Week

Iowa and Nebraska this week.

Michigan State comes to Iowa City undefeated.  If Sparty could win this game they would cruise to a Big 10 Championship.  They problem is they are at Iowa and that will be the difference.  Look for a close game for the first half and then Michigan State which has been living dangerously this season will hit reality.  Iowa is giving the Spartans 6.5.  It's not enough, Iowa will win by 12.

A similar situation happens in Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend.  Missouri comes into town on a roll.  They are undefeated and leading the Big XII North.  Nebraska stands in their way and Nebraska here is favored by 7.5.   Missouri is coming off a win against Oklahoma and it's only natural to have a bit of a letdown.  Nebraska's D dominates this game and  they cover the 7.5.

A bonus pick for late Saturday night is the OVER in the Hawaii vs. Idaho tilt.  Way over 64!

Brett Favre Watch: Will He or Won't He? Day 4

Brett Favre has started 291 consecutive games at quarterback dating back to the 1992 season.  It is looking more and more like that streak could come to an end this weekend.

Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress is reportedly leaning toward benching Brett Favre for backup quarterback Tavaris Jackson in Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

Favre is out of the walking boot he has been wearing, but hasn't practiced all week.  That doesn't mean anything, and the question people are asking now is who makes this decision?  Will it be Favre or Childress?

How must Tavaris Jackson feel right now?  A team may start a crippled old man ahead of him.  Stay tuned.
