Giant 'Star Wars' X-Wing Lands in Times Square

A huge Star Wars X-Wing spaceship has landed on New York's Times Square.

It's actually a replica of one flown in the famed movie franchise and represents the largest model ever made by Danish toy company Lego.

Unveiled on Thursday, the spectacular structure consists of more than 5.3 million of the company's multi-coloured plastic bricks, weighs almost 46,000 pounds (20,865 kilograms) and took 32 builders about 17,000 hours to put together.

Even Celebs Love the Circus

Last week, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey hosted a special VIP night for their Built To Amaze!, the 143rd edition of The Greatest Show On Earth, in Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY. Celebrity families enjoyed a fun, interactive circus pre-show experience backstage.

Some of the moms and dads checking out the event were: Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Debi Mazar, Jennifer Hudson, Nina Garcia, and Stephanie Szostak.  Their tots enjoyed taking in the circus sights and sounds and having their faces painted.

Mommy’s Night Out

Rebecca Gayheart spent the night out with hubby, her kids, her two best friends, and her godchildren.  It was her first trip to the circus.

McSteamy is the New McDaddy

Eric Dane took his daughter, Billie, to get her face painted by the clowns’ makeup artists backstage before the show. Upon seeing his daughter’s face painted beautifully like a kitty, he twirled her around, said, “you are the best thing I have ever seen,” picked her up in the air, twirled her around, and kissed her. Eric, who has been going to the circus since he was a kid, wanted to keep the tradition alive for his girls.

Project Mommy

Nina Garcia was in attendance with son, Lucas, who celebrated his 6th birthday. When Lucas was waiting to get his face painted, a little girl approached him crying. The little gentleman told her she could go before him and he would come back later.  How sweet is that?

Future Mommy Magazine?

Nina Garcia and Stephanie Szostak were seen chatting about working, motherhood and more, while their kids had their faces painted.  Stephanie played French Vogue editor Jacqueline Follet in the Devil Wears Prada and Nina is the Creative Director of Marie Claire.  We’re wondering if a future mommy fashion magazine is in the works?

Obama Goes Where No Jedi Has Gone Before

POTUS makes a sci-fi slip up

President Obama goofed an attempted sci-fi reference today at a press conference discussing Republican refusal to make a sequester deal. The president said he couldn't "do a Jedi mind meld with these folks and convince them to do what's right." Dude: You confused the JEDI MIND TRICK from Star Wars (think Obi Wan Kenobi and “these aren’t the droids you’re looking for”) with the VULCAN MIND MELD from Star Trek (think Mr. Spock splaying his fingers and treating your face like a bowling ball).

Celebrity Parents Attend Oscar Parties

Courtesy www.celebritybabyscoop.com

There’s only one thing as fabulous as the Academy Awards‘ red carpet — all the parties!

And some of our favorite celebrity parents celebrated the 85th Academy Awards in style. From Elton John‘s Viewing Party, to the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party, to Pre-Oscar events, let’s take a look through the fabulous shindigs and some of the A-list guests.

After winning big for his movie Argo, Ben Affleck was all smiles alongside his lovely wife Jennifer Garner and his new Oscar at the Vanity Fair party. And new parents Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin enjoyed a date night at Elton John’s big event.

Celebrity Baby Scoop caught up with some of Hollywood’s mom at the OK! Magazine star-studded Pre-Oscar party in Hollywood, Calif.

Alongside her new beau John Bluher, Taylor Armstrong opened up about her latest gig.

“I am a contributing editor for OK! Magazine and I write a column called Giving Back with Taylor Armstrong,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said.

She added: “The thing I love about it is that when I spoke to OK! about it, I said, ‘Let’s just do something positive about the things celebrities do.’ I just did Pauly D, and all these people are doing good things for charity. AnnaLynne McCord is really passionate about her charity. It’s all positive all the time and I love it.”

We also caught up with reality star and mom-of-one, Kendra Wilkinson.

“I am excited to party. I’m going to be real with you,” joked Kendra. “This is probably the only Oscars where I was close to watching all the movies. The only movie I hadn’t watched is Silver Linings Playbook. I watched them all and I think Beasts of the Southern Wild is my ultimate favorite so far. It is special to me and got to my heart.”

And we couldn’t help but ask about her adorable 3-year-old son, “Little Hank.”

“He’s amazing,” gushed the proud mama. “We went to Disneyland for the first time this weekend and it was amazing, he was so happy. His favorite ride was Cars. It was really scary, but it was so funny because he would cry and scream, and be like “Ahh!” [laughs] It was like the funniest thing in the world. It was so fun.”

She went on to talk about juggling her career and family life.

“You know what, you just have to force it and it ends up being normal,” she said of balancing her busy life. “It ends up being right. You can’t just be on one side of life or the other. You have to figure out a way to mix everything and then it ends up working. You just have to own it.”

And at GBK’s Pre-Oscars Luxury Lounge at Sofitel Hotel Los Angeles, we chatted with Everybody Hates Chris star Tichina Arnold, who attended with her daughter Alijah Kai. She told us about her new projects, including her television show Happily Divorced.

“I am presently on a show called Happily Divorced with Fran Drescher, which comes on at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday nights on TV Land,” she said. “And I did a movie called The Lena Baker Story that is about the first black woman to be executed in the state of Georgia. You can get it on Netflix. I also have a new movie out called The Great Divide. I haven’t seen the final product yet but I heard it’s a very funny movie.”

Does her daughter enjoy watching mom on Happily Divorced?

“Actually she used to, but she is over me now,” the actress told us. “She’s like, ‘Mom, I don’t need to watch you. I don’t want to watch,’ “
