Could Butler Make Another Run Next Year?

Will miracles continue to happen with Butler Basketball?  I think they might.

A Butler run through another NCAA Tournament next season might depend on whether junior guard Shelvin Mack comes back.

If Mack does not leave for the NBA, the Bulldogs would feature a team expected to be ranked in the preseason Top 25. If they lose Mack, in addition to cornerstone Matt Howard, they would be challenged to win a sixth consecutive Horizon League title.  A couple good recruits are already heading Butler's way.

Not that the Dawgs' standards are diminishing after a 53-41 loss to Connecticut in Monday night's NCAA championship game.

"I don't expect anything to change, for them to falter. I expect them to come back and win it next year," senior guard Zach Hahn said of a 2012 national championship.

Butler's Matt Howard's Proud Parents

He's tough he's scrappy and he epitomizes Butler Basketball.

Of course I'm talking about Matt Howard, the Mr. Everything for the Bulldogs.

He's a great story and so are his parents who seem to be everywhere at the Final Four.

Here's an interview with The Howard's following their son's heroic performance against VCU.
