All too Early College Football and Heisman Odds

Next year's college football championship and Heisman odds
Another college football season is in the books, but it's never too early to take a look at the early favorites for next year's championship and Heisman.

Despite losing the national championship game last night, Clemson is the early favorite to capture a third title over the last five seasons, according to SportsBetting.ag.

LSU is fourth on the odds board while Alabama is second and Ohio State is third.

In terms of Heisman odds, the sportsbook has made the obvious choice, Trevor Lawrence, the favorite, but he is followed closely by Justin Fields. USC quarterback Kedon Slovis is the only other player with better than 10/1 odds.

NCAA Moves Three Point Line Back

The NCAA approved extending the men's college basketball 3-point line to the distance used in international basketball, effective for the upcoming season for Division 1. The Men's Basketball Rules committee had recommended the change after a two-year trial run in the National Invitational Tournaments, saying that the line's new position would open up the lane for dribble penetration and curb the prevalence of the long-distance shot.

SVG College Sports Summit

Once again, great to be a part of the 2018 SVG College Sports Summit.

Held right here in Atlanta, it's an event I look forward to each year. It's a chance to see the latest in tech that colleges and universities will use for covering their sports programs.

2017 SVG College Sports Summit

Always one of my "must attend" events of the year.

Not just because it is local for me in Atlanta, but beciase this is show for technology that colleges use in the audio and video production of their athletic teams.

More to come...
