Hack Golf with 15 Inch Cups and Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose

The Monday after the Masters is a day when the golf world lets out a collective exhale.

Well, this year was a little different for me and some other members of the golf media.

We were invited to play golf at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA which is a great honor all by itself. But when you add in to the mix that we were playing with Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose and using the new Hack Golf 15 inch cups, it was quite a day.

Throw in some great meals, a night at the Ritz-Carleton Lodge at Reynolds and the gifts we were given including a new TaylorMade Mini Driver that isn't even on the market yet, and it was an unreal day.

The 15 inch cups are part of the Hack Golf iniative to make golf more fun.

It was fun.

I chipped in a nice shot and holed a long putt.  There is some merit to these 15 inch cups. I like it, and I don't feel weird saying that.

Fantasy Golf Buy, Sell or Hold for the AT&T National

On to Tiger's tournament, minus Tiger this week  at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA.
Eleven major championship winners are in the field this week, so there will be some great golf played.  Defending champ, Justin Rose is back to defend his title and looking to wrestle the trophy away from Rose will be the likes of Geoff Ogilvy, Adam Scott, Hunter Mahan, Nick Watney and Rickie Fowler.

Major winners hunting for the title include 2009 U.S. Open champ Lucas Glover, 2008 Masters winner Trevor Immelman, 2006 U.S. Open winner Ogilvy, 2003 U.S. Open champ Furyk, 2003 Masters champ Mike Weir, 2003 British Open champ Ben Curtis, 2003 PGA champion Shaun Micheel, 1997 British Open winner Justin Leonard and 1995 PGA champion Steve Elkington.

The buy, sell and holds keep getting tougher and tougher as the season goes on, but we'll keep looking for the hot players.

Buy:

Jim Furyk (A) - This is the type of spot where Furyk usually plays well.

Nick Watney (A) - I know this is like a broken record, but Watney is good and he had a T-7 here in 2010.

Webb Simpson (B) - Stay with a hot golfer and go with Webb.

Justin Rose (B) - The defending champ is about due for a big week.

Vijay Singh (B) - Vijay likes this course and he had a T-9 here last year.  Never count him out.

J.B. Holmes (C) - Finished 5th here in 2010.  Four top-10's in 2011 and no missed cuts.

John Merrick (C) - Played well at Aronimink last year and has been very consistent this year.  A safe play for sure.

Sell:

K.J. Choi (A) - His game is in a little bit of a funk right now.  He's too good for that to last, but pass on him for this week.

Chris Stroud (B) - Outside of one top-10 this year, he's been awful.

Mike Weir (C) - What has happened to Mike Weir?  Beyond awful in 2011.

Hold:

Bryce Molder (B) - Molder has been in a slump, but he bested out of it last week at the Travelers with a T-6.  May want to hold this week to see if that was legit.
