"The Tech of Sports" Featuring Don Felder

This week on "The Tech of Sports" - Don Felder

The one and only Don Felder, former Eagles guiarist and co-writer of "Hotel California" joins me this week on "The Tech of Sports" top talk a little music and golf.

Don is a great guy and this interview is really for an online piece, but thought we would use part of it for "The Tech of Sports."

Have a listen.

"Hello Atlanta, It's Al Stewart"

That's how my phone call with the legendary singer/songwriter started today.

It was a great 25 minute conversation with the man who brought us "Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages" in the 70s.

He comes to Atlanta later this month to play Eddie's Attic.

He was great recounting stories from his past and he gave some great advice to songwriters.

It will run in a few days on a couple different outlets.

Species of Ferns Named After Lady Gaga

I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga, but an interesting piece I stumbled upon this morning.

http://usa.chinadaily.com.cn/entertainment/2012-10/24/content_15842940.htm

The new varieties of fern have been named Gaga germanotta, which honours the singer's family name, and Gaga monstraparva - which translates to mean "monster-little", in honour of her fans who are known as Little Monsters - among other titles.

The fern - which was discovered in Arizona, Texas and Mexico as well as Central and South America - was also named after the 'Paparazzi' hitmaker because her songs are "enormously empowering".
