Packers Uniforms to Stay the Same

Some traditions are just too good to change.

The Packers have decided keep their traditional uniforms exactly the same, according to ESPN. With Nike becoming the NFL's new official-attire company, many teams introduced subtly different uniforms. The Packers, however, allowed no alterations, except adopting the Nike logo.

Why Tag Heuer Dropped Tiger Woods

On Wednesday, Tag Heuer announced it had severed all ties in its relationship with Tiger Woods, which it called "very beneficial to both parties." The watchmaker said the "sensitivity of some consumers" was a factor.

It was a 10-year partnership, but he company stopped using images of Woods in U.S. promotions back in Dec. 2009, the month after his auto accident outside his Florida home led to revelations of multiple infidelities in his marriage.

We are confident that Tiger will eventually regain full trust with the public, and that his huge talent and mental strength will help him overcome his difficulties,” CEO Jean-Christophe Babin said in a statement. “We wish Tiger all the best for the future endeavors in golf, with new business partners, and in his private life.”
Tag Heuer's decision comes one day before Woods tees off in the 2011 PGA Championship, trying to end a career-worst 21-event winless streak dating to Nov. 2009, just before the accident.

Since news of Woods' extramarital affairs came to light, he has lost endorsement deals with AT&T, Accenture and Gatorade. He has been retained by EA Sports, Nike and Upper Deck.

Quick Change Means Quick 3rd Set for Isner at ATC

NORCROSS, Georgia - If you've ever been to an NBA game, they have a half-time act that apears around the country called "Quick Change."  It's a man and a woman that change clothes every couple seconds and it's amazing.

A quick change of clothing in between the 2nd and 3rd sets seemed to refresh John Isner enough to get him into his second straight Atlanta Tennis Championships finals.

Isner held on to defeat a tricky lefty in Gilles Muller 7-5, 6-7, 6-1 to set up a possible rematch Sunday with fellow American and friend, Mardy Fish.

Muller seemed to find his range in the second set as he raced out to commanding lead in the tiebreak forcing the third set.  “It took a lot of hard work to win that second set, and I threw it all away to start the third,” griped Muller.

After a hold to start the third set, Muller committed an unforced error giving Isner another break point.  Isner converted with an overhead and Muller promptly broke his racquet.

Isner credits the gear change with helping him.  “I know it takes a long time for me to change (everything) with my ankle braces, it definitely refreshed me, it did today, it did the other night.”

Isner recorded 28 aces for the match with a first serve percentage of 72%.  Muller didn’t convert on either of the two break points he had in the match.
