College Football Bowl Play of the Day: Sugar Bowl

After a day of exciting games on Jan. 2, we get the Sugar Bowl tonight and it could be another close one.

Michigan and Virginia Tech, with Michigan coming in a quite a roll.  They've put points up in bunches against every team recently other than Iowa.

But now they are playing a Frank Beamer team and he's had time to prepare.

Virginia Tech is getting 3 and Beamer has to relish being the underdog.

Look for Virginia Tech to be well prepared and to force turnovers and make a big play on special teams.

Take the Hokies and the 3 points in the Sugar Bowl.

Thursday College Football Play of the Night

VA Tech!

It's an ACC battle on Thursday night.  Georgia Tech heads up to Virginia Tech.  Before the season many thought this game would mean something to both teams.  At this point it means a lot more to the Hokies.

After a terrible start, Virginia Tech has rebounded and is in great position in the ACC.  They lead the Coastal division and can pt it away with a win tonight.

Georgia Tech has been inconsistent at best.  That all starts with their quarterback Josh Nesbitt.   Against Clemson. Nesbitt had two yards on 15 carries as Georgia Tech’s three-game winning streak was snapped.

GA Tech beat VA Tech last year, but no this time.  The Yellow Jackets are getting 13.5, but it won't be enough.  Taka VA Tech and give the points tonight.

College Football Play of the Day 10/16/10

Virginia Tech Baby!

Virginia Tech is at home today playing Wake Forest.

The Hokies are only laying 22 pts so this should be a walk in the park.  VA Tech appears to be getting better each and every week.  Wake might be getting worse every week.

Lay the 22 and VA Tech will brighten your day.

* Bonus night pick:

Florida is -8 at home playing Miss. St.  Miss. State is an improved team, but only getting 8 in Gainesville?  Go Gators!  Give up the 8.

Boise St. Takes a Big Step in Quest for BCS Title

Boise State has gained seven first-place votes to close in on No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Ohio State as the top three in the first regular season Associated Press football poll.

The Broncos remained third after a thrilling 33-30 victory against Virginia Tech on Monday night, receiving eight first-place votes and 1,399 points from the media panel, 13 points behind the Buckeyes.

Boise St. Head Coach Chris Peterson has put together an amazing coaching staff and group of players. If they can get past Oregon State and not lay any eggs for the rest of the season, many expect the boys from Boise to be play in the national championship game.  Lookout Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma.
