Bleach Fight on Aisle 9

A Maryland woman faced assault, theft and other charges Monday for allegedly pouring bleach and Pine-Sol on a Walmart shopper during a fight.

Police say the suspect, Theresa Monique Jefferson, 33, followed another woman into the store Saturday and assaulted her, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Jefferson reportedly knew the victim, whose boyfriend has a child with Jefferson, police added.

Jefferson turned herself in after the incident and was arrested on charges of first- and second-degree assault, theft and destruction of property.

Haz mat crews were called to the scene after bystanders complained of watery eyes and other effects, Baltimore County Fire Department spokesman Glenn Blackwell said.

Blackwell said 19 people were taken to area hospitals after the incident, including one person who had a potentially serious injury.

The store was closed while it was cleaned and ventilated.

It used to be shoppers had to wait until the week of Thanksgiving to see the deep discounts and "door busters" at retailers.

The month of November has just started and the biggest sale before Christmas Day in the US is about to start. Black Friday 2010 will be this coming November 26, 2010. Various retailers are expected to participate in this sale and as early as now, a lot of people are looking for Black Friday deals and ads that leaked on internet sites to plan their holiday shopping.

Most retailers usually announce their official Black Friday 2010 deals through the release of ad scans on November 22, 2010. However, some retail outlets are already offering great deals on their products in order to get started on the holiday shopping revenue.

Best Buy announced its early sales dubbed as “Shop Early, Save Big Event”. Although this might not be their official Black Friday 2010 deals, the sale will happen from Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10am to Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 10am on their Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania outlet. The sale would be more on electronics items such as laptops, camcorders, PSP go, among others.  This is great news for early shopping consumers.

Walmart too has not yet announced its official Black Friday 2010 deals. According to various reports, the company won’t release it until about a week before the actual Black Friday event. However, in preparation of the upcoming event, they have an electronic sale on November 6 to 7, 2010 from 8am where you can avail of huge discounts and great deals on gadgets such as LCD TVs, laptops, Sony PS3, and a whole lot more.

Sears is billing their sales leadin up to Thanksgiving as “Black Friday Now! These are two-day doorbusters from Friday to Saturday up to Christmas Day”, the sale goes on every week from Friday to Saturday until the Christmas Day.

iPads and Walmart

While at my local Walmart over the weekend I checked out the Apple display to see if they were prepping it for the soon to be arriving iPads.

There was some empty space.

Now word has come out that iPads are available at Walmart Online, and you can have it shipped to Walmart near you.

Walmart Online is going to sell all models, but right now only the 64GB iPad WiFi, 32GB iPad WiFi+3G and the 64GB iPad WiFi+3G can be ordered online. All other iPad models are marked out of stock right now.

When the iPads reach the stores, each store is expected to have 5 of each kind of iPad in stock.

iPad Hits Target Stores, Is Walmart Next?

Head on out to your local Target store and what will your see?  Plenty of iPads for sale leading up to the holiday season.

Walmart, never one to be left out of a good fight is possibly next to get Apple's iPad.

MacRumors obtained some photos of some e-mails sayng Walmart will sell the iPad as early as next week.

The initial stock at Walmart stores will be 5 units of each iPad model and 10 units each of Apple's official iPad accessories.

The iPad will roll out first to 1,000 stores beginning "week 37" through the end of October, with more stores receiving the device in "the first few weeks of November," the report noted. Store displays will reportedly feature a covered "live demo unit" with a continuous video loop highlighting the iPad's features.

Most Walmarts have a small Apple secion in their electronics department right now.  Those could quickly be used to sell the iPads while still offering iPods and other Apple products.
