Wireless Wednesday for 11/5/14: Apps All Atlantans Should Have

You may have dozens of hundreds of apps on you smartphone, but here are some Apps that Rick thinks all Atlantans should have at their fingertips.

Rick and Mitch talk about that and then the "App of the Week."

Have a listen to both parts:

1.   Atlanta Traffic Cams

99 cent app   iOS app

Traffic is always a big problem in Atlanta, this 99 cent can help you get around.

2. Groupon/Scoutmob

Online coupons and discounts for Atlanta area restaurants and things to do in Atlanta. Save money with these apps.

These are great apps to have when you want to buy just about anything, anytime, anywhere. By leveraging the company’s global relationships and scale,

3. MARTA "On The Go" app

Free for iOS and Android

This application allows the user access to all bus and rail schedules and real-time information for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.

4. www.atlanta-airport.com

Not an app, but the official website for Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Int'l Airport. Real-time flight info and security line wait times.

5.  Atlanta Checker Cab app

Forget about Uber, Lyft and the ride sharing apps.

Atlanta Checker Cab has been serving the community for over 70 years and the drivers know their way around.  Especially important to have this app leading up to the holidays.

Use this app to hail your next taxi.

6.  Radio.com app  - Listen to 92.9 The Game

* App of the week:

TaskRabbit

Free

Online temp agency.  Matches people that will do work and projects with individuals and companies that need to hire someone.

Growing in Atlanta.
