Fantasy Football Buy or Sell for Week 4

The Vikings and Cowboys rebounded in week 3, and the Bears are the only undefeated team in the NFC. Such is life in the NFL. Life in Fantasy Football is constantly in flux as well. The bye weeks start becoming a factor this week as some major players will be on the sidelines in week 4.

Here's some buy and sell tipes for week 4.

Buy:

The Seahawks D. They give up yards but they also get sacks and turnovers. I don't know how long this will last, but they are a better option than many other teams at this point.

Charlie Batch, QB Steelers - Possibly the best 3rd string quarterback of all-time. He will be a good play for another week if your QB is on the bye week. Here's to Charlie.

Michael Vick, QB Eagles - He has turned many heads with his play so far. He's got he Eagles offense clicking and he's playing smart football for maybe the first time in his career. He will get you points with his arm and legs.

Roy Williams, WR Cowboys - Williams is showing signs of life and could be a good flex position start for your team.

Austin Collie, WR Colts - Peyton Manning likes to spread the ball around and Collie is becoming his favorite target. He could put up Wes Welker type numbers the rest of the season.

Peyton Hillis, RB Browns - The only bright spot for the Cleveland Browns. Start him.

Sell:

Ray Rice, RB Ravens - Rice has yet to score and has been a huge disappointment for fantasy owners. Trade him if you can. He might rebound a little, but he's an over-rated fantasy performer.

Pierre Garcon, WR Colts - Is he injured, or just being outplayed by Austin Collie? Sit him.

Garret Hartley, K Saints - Find another kicker ASAP. Hartley is possible on the way out of New Orleans.

George Blanda, NFL Ageless Wonder Dies at 83

George Blanda, the Hall of Fame quarterback and kicker who played a record 26 seasons of professional football and once almost single-handedly won five consecutive games for the Oakland Raiders, has died. He was 83.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame said Blanda died Monday after a brief illness, and the Raiders issued a statement calling him "a brave Raider and a close personal friend of Raiders owner Al Davis."

Blanda, who career dated to an era when players routinely manned two positions, scored a then-record 2,002 points during his long career.

During a five-game stretch in 1970, the 43-year-old Blanda, led the Raiders to four victories and one tie with late touchdown throws or field goals.  He was a fan favorite and respected by all his teammates.

Blanda also played for the Bears, Colts, and Oilers in his career.

Blanda lived in both Chicago and La Quinta, is survived by his wife, Betty, and two children.

Georgia Football Keeps Finding Trouble

Another loss, and another player getting arrested.  Just another day with the University of Georgia football team.

Georgia freshman linebacker Demetre Baker was jailed in Athens on DUI and other charges.  On Sunday, he was kicked off the team.

At 1-3, the Georgia Football program has no more margin for error.  It also just so happens, Baker is the 10th arrested so far this year.  Fans and Alums can't figure out what is worse, the way the team is playing, or the way the player behave.

Big changes could be coming, and everyone associated with the program is on notice.  With all the talent on the team, and all the top recruits, something has gone terribly wrong.

At least nobody is talking about the A.J. Green situation anymore.  BTW, he'll be back next game.  Can he make that much of a difference?  I'm not counting on it.

Week 3: NFL Play of the Week

I'm trying to get on the winning track here.

Let's hope the Redskins rebound off a tough loss.

They should beat the Rams by more than 4 and go over the 38 1/2 total.

Take the Redskins and the over for the 4:15 game today.
