Dancing With the Stars: Hines Ward is MVP!

Last night was a night of impressive dances, but it's only fitting as one of these couples will win this season of Dancing With the Stars and the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

We have three different dancers with three completely different styles.  It's hard for me to predict because we don't know how the fan voting is going.  Kirstie is trailing a little after the performance, but she racks in the votes.  Hines was so good las night and football players have fared well on the show in past seasons.

The finalists will actually have one more round of dancing before the results will be read.

Some big musical acts tonight, and leading off is the Black Eyed Peas and one of their new songs.  Next was a feature on the judges and their opinions on the three finalists.

The next segment highlighted some of the contestants that were eliminated earlier in the season.  From Mike Catherwood dancing with the troupe to Sugar Ray Leonard and Kendra, they were all back tonight.

Petra reprised her waltz from week 3, and it was sung by Josh Grobin.  Kendra and Louis hit the floor next dancing to a Ricky Martin song.  She ended her routine by dancing on the judge's table before almost falling off it.

Sugar Ray Leonard was one of my favorite contestants this season.  He was introduced tonight by ring announcer Michael Buffer.  Chris Jericho also was brought out on to the dance floor.  Both took the show very seriously and if not for one bad dance they might've advanced further than they did.

Next was Wendy Williams.  They did a skit where she interviewed herself.  That skit was about as good as her dancing.

The next musical guest is the Go-Go's.  Haven't seen them in a while.  They sang 'We've Got the Beat' and Chelsie Hightower, Cheryl and Lacey were joined for this routine with Maks in a policeman uniform.

Romeo and Chelsie Hightower did their final dance.  They try to find an angle for each dancer as the season progresses, and Romeo's angle was doing it for the kids.  They had a kid's chorus singing while they danced.

Ralph Macchio will be the final dancer brought back for one final dance.  He was classy and popular with the fans as he reached the semi-finals.

Finally, the three finalists will dance their final dances.

First up is Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas.  They will redo their Viennese Waltz.  They showed clips from their last rehearsal last night and how emotional it was for them.  To me, it looked about the same as they last time they did it.  No surprise, the judges all liked it and complemented them.  They get a 30 for their final dance.

Kirstie and Maks are next.  No dancer has made more strides than Kirstie Alley.  They dance a cha cha cha.  A lot of improvement for Kirstie and Maks deserves a lot of credit.  Kirstie gets a 30 out of 30.

The honor of the final dance of season 12 belongs to Hines Ward and Kym Johnson.  They are looking to do a perfect Samba.  Another good dance.  No surprise here, they also get a 30.

Sara Evans sang a final song while highlights ofthe season played in the background.

One couple is about to be eliminated.  The third place contestant is Chelsea Kane.

The lights are dimmed and a champion is about to be named.

The winner is... Hines Ward and Kym Johnson!

Dancing With the Stars Results: Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

Instant dances and one of the leading contenders bitten by the injury bug were the stories of last night's performance show.

It was the first show where the teams had to perform two dances that would both be graded.

The show began with an encore dance featuring Kirstie and Maks.  Once again they perform the Argentine tango.

The eliminations begin with Hines and Kirstie getting to find out their fate. Moving to the semi-finals are Hines and Kym.  Kirstie and Maks will also be in the semis.  These two teams may be the favorites.

Next up is that famous filler segment that won't go away, Dance Center.  This is where they trot Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice out to break down the competition.

Next on was Michael Bolton and an Australian singer singing Bolton's new song.

This is followed by another inspirational about how dance kept a family together.  With a father passing away, the oldest brother of this family kept dance in the family.  The family now performs on the results show.

A bonus song by Delta Goodrem as she fills in for Adele.  Adele is apparently having trouble with her voice.  A quick check of Delta Goodrem's website shows it has crashed by so many people visiting it.  She has some talent!

More Dance Center and more lame jokes.

Finally, Adele is able to perform.  She sings her hit "Rolling in the Deep."  I'm sure show producers were holding their breathe that she would perform.

The eliminations now continue.  Some good behind the scenes footage on Ralph's injury is shown.  It will be between Ralph, Chelsea and Romeo to see who goes home.

Ralph and Karina are in jeopardy, as are Romeo and Chelsie.  Chelsea Kane and Mark are in the final four.  Going home this week will be Romeo and Chelsie in a surprise.

Dancing With the Stars Results: Petra 'Czech's' Out

Another couple will be eliminated tonight on DWTS.

We celebrated America last night as the couples all gave some of their best performances.

Hines and Chelsea were the best in my opinion, but all the competitors were pretty good.

A lot of attention and focus is on Kirstie each week, so we'll see if she survives.  Kendra might be in trouble.

Safe this week is Hines and Kim.  In jeopardy is Kirstie and Maks.  We'll find out later if they survive.  Romeo and Chelsie Hightower get to do the encore dance.

Next the first appearance of the night for Toby Keith.  A great rendition of "I Should've Been a Cowboy."

Up for elimination next are Chelsea Kane, Romeo and Chris Jericho.  I wouldn't want to be the one to tell Chris Jericho that he's in jeopardy.  The next couple safe is Chelsea and Mark.  Romeo and Chelsie are also safe.  Chris Jericho and Cheryl are in jeopardy.

Next, a little behind the scenes piece.  Then the usual Macy's Stars of Dance.

The final three couples to find out their fate are Petra, Kendra, and Ralph.  All three were solid last night.  The next coupple safe is Ralph and Karina.  Also coming back next week is Kendra and Louis.  Petra and Dmitry are in jeopardy.

More Toby Keith and some more patriotic music.  We also find out that next week Pia Toscano will be performing backed by Mark Ballas.  I bet she's been backed by Mark Ballas.

One couple will be brought to safety.  That would be Kirstie and Maks.

Either Chris or Petra will be gone.  The couple still safe is Chris and Cheryl.  Petra will be going home, but she did well.
