Kennesaw State Cheerleader Falls and is Taken Away in Stretcher
If you've been reading about the sport of cheerleading recently, you've probably read that it is dangerous.
Dangerous to the point of being the most dangerous sport for girls when it comes to catastrophic injuries. Many schools have taken the difficult and dangerous stunts out of the routines.
On Thursday night at the North Florida vs. Kennesaw State men's basketball game, a Kennesaw State cheerleader hit the floor while attempting a stunt. She was taken away in a stretcher, and word came out today it appears to be only a concussion. I don't say ONLY lightly.
Here's my photo recap of the incident, including in the first two pics, the Kennesaw State mascot "Scrappy" was the first to attend to the fallen cheerleader.
A scary incident, hopefull she will be ok.

Animal Lover Tony La Russa Onboard with Rally Squirrel
The Cardinals are distributing 40,000 Rally Squirrel towels tonight for Game 3, are the Brewers supposed to be scared?
I don't think so, but whatever gets them pumped up.
In addition, stuffed Rally Squirrels are available for $5 at the Busch Stadium team store, along with "Got Squirrel" T-shirts and additional rally towels.
"I think it's good. The fans are having fun," said Tony La Russa, the Cardinals' manager who has done a lot of charity work for animals over the years. "And I really believe that. This is not old-school, and I know I am in many ways, but I think there's so much attention and pressure on the players that sometimes they don't show their happiness."
La Russa is as serious as they come on game day, but he's enjoying all the fuss over the Rally Squirrel.
"I've really gotten over getting upset over it. Sometimes I think it's a release. So I think it's fun," he said.
Ole Miss Picks Rebel Black Bear...Not Admiral Ackbar
According to The Clarion-Ledger, the Rebel Mascot Selection Committee announced Thursday that the Rebel Black Bear will be the school's new mascot.
The Rebel Black Bear was selected after an online vote held over the past week between the bear, the Rebel Land Shark and the Rebel Hotty Toddy. Others thought that Star Wars character Admiral Ackbar should be the mascot choice since he led the Rebel Alliance.
The bear will replace Colonel Reb, the goateed Southern gentleman banished from the sidelines nearly seven years ago as part of the school's effort to distance itself from symbols of the old South.
In 1997, Ole Miss ended the waving of Confederate flags at sporting events. Last year, the band stopped playing a fight song to discourage the fan chant, "The South will rise again."
