Day 7: French Open Match of the Day - Continuation of Djokovic vs. Del Potro

Nothing was settled on Friday, so let's try again on Saturday.

It's one set all, 6-3, 3-6.  Darkness fell on Lenglen as these two warriors did battle.

It's a best of 3 come Saturday and I feel really either player could win.

Prediction: It's tough, but how about Djokovic in 5.

Day 6: French Open Match of the Day - Djokovic vs. Del Potro

This should be the first real test of the tournament for Djokovic.  Del Potro appears to be back to almost 100% after injuries in 2010 and a scare about a month ago.

Djokovic has been playing almost flawless tennis and he may have to do that again to be the Argentine, Del Potro.

They haven't played since 2009, and Novak leads the career series 3-0.  I expect him to make that 4-0 on Friday.  If Del Potro serves and returns big, he has a chance.

I like Djokovic to remain undefeated on the season and win in 4 sets.

Day 5: French Open Match of the Day - Malisse vs. Verdasco

If you like pure, unfiltered tennis shotmaking, this is the match for you.

I see it as a pretty even steven contest as clay isn't the best surface for either of these players.

They have only played once, that was in a Davis Cup tie earlier this year on hardcourts.  Verdasco won in straight sets, but Malisse is sneaky good in big situations.

Prediction:  I think Verdasco might have a little too much, but it's going to be close - 5 close sets.

Day 4: French Open Match of the Day - Zvonareva vs. Lisicki

A second round women's match featuring Vera Zvonareva and Sabine Lisicki.

Zvonareva being the #3 seed is the favored player, but don't count out the German who always seems to be coming back from injury.

Lisicki has had a good spring and Zvonareva is going to win a big title one ofthese days.

Look for a good three setter with Lisicki outhitting Vera at the end.

Prediction: Lisicki in 3 sets.

Day 3: French Open Match of the Day - Ljubicic vs. Devvarman

Ivan Ljubicic (CRO) v. Somdev Devvarman (IND)

An interesting match that will be a great for those watching on Court 3.  An old veteran of the tour in Ljubicic against a rising star in Devvarman.

A few years ago, Devvarman was playing college tennis in the United States.  The Croat has been a top-20 player for many years, but has had mixed results the past couple years.

I like Devvarman's chances, even though clay may not be his best surface.

Look for the Indian to win in 4 tough sets.

Bonus Pick:  The Nadal/Isner match could be closer than some expect, especially if the courts and balls keep playing quickly.
