Sunday's NFL Divisional Playoff Play of the Day

No surprise here... The New England Patriots

Depending on where you look, New England is favored by 9.5 to 10 points over the Jets.  It won't be that close.

New England is on an 8 game winning streak and they like to do their talking on the field.  The Jets have been erratic the last month or so and they like to do their talking, well they talk all of the time.

This 51-year-old rivalry has been dead even over the years – including two New England wins in the playoffs, the series is tied 51-51-1 – and it has been as heated as ever since the outspoken Ryan took over the Jets last season. But the Patriots' play did the talking in the most recent meeting, a 45-3 blowout in Week 13 that avenged New York's 28-14 home victory in Week 2.

The home team is 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings in this series.  Look for the New England tight ends to have a big game.

Take the Patriots and give the points.

* Bonus play - The Over, which is only 44 pts right now.

Saturday's NFL Divisional Round Play of the Day

The Ravens.

At last look, the line stands at the Ravens getting 3.5 points in this playoff game.  What is important here is that half point.  You see, the games in this heated series are usually decided by three points.

The Ravens getting that 3.5 points is key.  Also, the road team fares well in this rivalry. Road teams are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four meetings.  This should be a close and low-scoring game.

Both teams will rely on their defenses and pick and choose their spots on offense.  The Ravens might not get the win, but they at least get the cover here.

NFL Wildcard Sunday Play of the Day:  Ravens

It's the Raven and the upstart Chiefs today at 1.

The Ravens are favored by 3 at Kansas City, but I still like like Baltimore.

The Chiefs have had a great season but they rely on a running attack that the Ravens shoul be able to shut down.

Joe Flacco and Baltimore are in the postseason for the third consecutive year. Aside from a Week 2 defeat to Cincinnati, the Ravens’ other losses were to New England, Atlanta and Pittsburgh – teams that sport a collective 39-9 record.

The teams have played just twice in the past five seasons, with Baltimore winning both. Flacco threw for 307 yards and three TDs as the Ravens beat visiting Kansas City (minus an injured Cassel) 48-24 in the 2009 season opener.

Another note is the Chiefs are 7-1 at home this season, but the Ravens counter that by being 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.

Take the Ravens and give the 3 today.

Marshawn Lynch Thinks He is Gale Sayers

Marshawn Lynch video.  It's either 7 or 8 tackles that he breaks.

What a run to send the Seahawks to the 2nd round of the NFL Playoffs.

NFL Wildcard Saturday Play of the Day: Seahawks

I am not crazy, I am not on drugs, but I love the Seahawks in today's NFL action.

The Saints are the better team and will win the game, but the Seahawks are getting 10 pts at home in a playoff game.

I have to say take the Seahawks and the points.  The only trend favoring Seattle is they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in January.  You can throw that out since that was a while ago and this is a totally different team.  Sometime you just have to go with your gut and the fact that they are getting 10 pts.

Take Seattle today.
