Not a good week for Americans looking to pick up the slack from NASA and get to space.
This one involved Virgin Galactic.
Terrible news.
SpaceUnited Founder and President, Troy Dunn, began his deep love of space and science at the age of six when his father, a war vet and former pilot, wanted the family to see a NASA Space Shuttle launch. It was the summer of 1983 and he was witness to the launch of the shuttle, Challenger. You have to experience a rocket launch to understand the awesomeness of it. As he looked on, Troy participated in that awesomeness and a seed was planted. Almost 30 years later, on July 4th 2012, Troy would help establish the first nonprofit space exploration agency.
We were lucky to have Troy on Conversation Corner this week...
