Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on ALT 105.7 and iHeartRadio - Valentine's Day Tech

Axel is in for Sully this week as he is up in the Northeast celebrating a Patriots Super Bowl victory.

It's just days until Valentine's Day, and tech or gadgets of various types always make great gifts.
Rick and Axel look at some of the possibilities:

1.   SodaStream Fizzi One Touch - $129.99

Eco-friendly and great tasting!
SodaStream prevents more than 3,700 single-use plastic bottles and cans from entering the waste stream to begin with. SodaStream presents a unique gifting experience for couples who love sparkling water but don’t like the space and money copious bottled waters take up.

With the SodaStream Fizzi One Touch, saving the world from plastic pollution has never been so easy – stylish – or refreshing. The sleek Fizzi One Touch is SodaStream’s newest model and carbonates tap water at the touch of a button. With three levels of automatic carbonation, you can perfectly customize your sparkling water and there’s no worry of accidentally fizzing all over yourself.
Try for 30 days... 2 year warranty

2. HEY Bracelet

With HEY you can send and receive a real human touch, no matter where you are. I saw this unique item at CES 2019 in Las Vegas and immediately thought of Valentine’s Day. The HEY bracelet lets you feel your loved one, no matter the distance. You get two bracelets, one for you and one for your sweetie! HEY bracelet is the first haptic bracelet that can send and receive a real human touch. Receiving a touch feels like a little ‘squeeze’ around the wrist and is comforting, instantly making you feel loved and closer to the person who sent it, no matter where they are. HEY incorporates advanced technology that communicates through Bluetooth with your smartphone. Your touch is transferred directly to the HEY app on your phone, and from there to the paired HEY bracelet anywhere in the world. The recipient will feel the touch as a gentle squeeze around their wrist. It’s a unique sensation, that can’t be compared to anything else. There is also a new HEY Touch coming out as well, that will let you stay “in touch” with even more friends. Order your pair of HEY bracelets for $115.

3. Cuisinart Automatic Cold Brew Coffee Maker: $99.95 ucts/coffee_makers/dcb-10/

Coffee the easy way!

Cuisinart's Automatic Cold Brew Coffee Maker introduces a new way to make authentic cold brew coffee – in as little as 25 minutes! Like traditional cold brewers, the Automatic Cold Brew Coffee Maker saturates coffee grounds in cool water, never exposing them to the high temperatures that release oils, which can create an acidic taste. Cuisinart utilizes a unique spin technology to circulate coffee through water for total flavor extraction in a fraction of the time manual brewers require, meaning that coffee is naturally smoother and sweeter.

Limpert Tech "SullyCast" on ALT 105.7 - Valentine's Day Tech

Valentines Day is less than a week away, but Rick and Sully will talk some tech and or gadgets perfect for Valentine's Day this year. Rick goes out of the box with some of these, but all cool and fun!

Have a listen!

1. Boredwalk T-Shirts

How about a fun t-shirt for your significant other? Boredwalk is an artist owned and operated t-shirt company that offers a fun array of t-shirts for men, women, and children.
Everything is designed and printed in our LA studio with eco-friendly water-based inks. Boredwalk is ready with fun and quirky tees ranging in various colors and sporting fun sayings like “Feminism is my second favorite F-word” that are sure to complete any Galentine’s Day.

They are also donating a portion of our sales now through February 28th to She Should Run, an organization that helps women run for public office. $1 from every sale of our feminist/political shirts from 2/1 through 2/28 will be donated to She Should Run. Being a progressive woman-owned business, we have chosen to make She Should Run our Valentine this year, as a way to support other women in leadership.

2. A Day at TopGolf

TopGolf is and has been fun, but new technology makes it even more entertaining.

TopGolf offers low-pressure date activities that you could enjoy on Valentine’s Day OR Galentine’s Day this year.

With a great selection of sharable bites, refreshing drinks, online reservations and a little friendly competition in a cozy atmosphere, Topgolf is the perfect Valentine’s Day destination for couples of all ages and relationship stages.

TopGolf is also introducting Toptracer technology.

The Toptracer that customers will see at Topgolf Orlando, the company’s 36th location, is similar to what viewers see when watching tournament coverage on NBC and Golf Channel. In addition to the iconic line that tracks ball flight, customers will see carry distance, ball speed, height, hang time and the curve of the shot. Justin Norvell, Topgolf Orlando’s director of operations, views it as just one more way for the company to “increase engagement” with its guests.

In Georgia, there is a TopgGolf location in Atlanta and Alpharetta.

3. Farmgirl Flowers

While there is nothing really techy about sending or giving flowers for Valentine's Day... one company that has grown in less than 7 years, starting out in a kitchen and now shipping nationwide uses tech to scale it's business and bring fresh flowers and other gifts to customers all over the country.

Farmgirl Flowers is now a $14.5 million business. Their biggest unexpected challenge has been needing to shift supply chain drastically. Earlier this year we had to pivot from using all US grown flowers to include some imported product. This wasn’t a move we initially wanted to make but was one we needed to make in order to continue to scale with the limited quantities available to us domestically."

4. Man Crates

Personalized crate of goodies for the man in your life.
There are NFL, NHL, college sports, NASCAR themed crates and more...

5. Lovepop 3-D Valentine's Cards

Lovepop is the perfect fit for any V-day celebration because there are so many varieties to choose from!
Whether you’re looking to send a valentine to a friend, family or your lover, these 3-D cards have got you covered.

6.  The Lovebox

Lovebox really is a box that looks like your ordinary, adorable piece of home decor. However, it's equipped with a mirrored screen on the inside, which is where the magic takes place.
A box where someone can send a message to you through an app and it appears in the box.

The heart on the outside of the box spins, letting the receiver know that they've got mail. (The heart keeps spinning until the lid is opened, so leaving messages for people to come home to is definitely a sweet idea.)
Final step: The apple of your eye sees the heart spinning, opens the lid to view their message, and is showered in hearts plus the text message.
