Wimbledon Day 6 Match of the Day: Kirilenko vs. S. Williams

A 3rd round match on Court 1 that will actually tell us where Serena is in her comeback right now.

Maria Kirilenko shoud pose a real test, and Serena to me has looked a little off in her first two matches.  That's not to say Serena can't turn it around in a hurry, and what a story it would be if Serena and Venus would make it to the finals.

I don't think that will happen, and I also don't think Serena will beat a match tough Kirilenko on Saturday.

Prediction: Kirilenko in 3 sets.

Justin Bieber Attacked at Launch of His Perfume (Video)

I don't know exactly what is going on in this video, but there is a huge crowd so Justin Bieber must be in the vicinity.

If you watch the middle of the screen, there appears to be someone jumping a barricade and then you see a swarm of police or security guards.  That must have been the incident, I guess he had Bieber Fever!

Not a great video as it appears to be shot from the rooftop of the building across the street.

Anyone think it's strange Bieber is launching a perfume?  I thought that was reserved for people like Cher, Elizabeth Taylor and Paris Hilton.

The whole Centre Court lineup for Friday looks amazing. 

Predictions:  Roddick, Azarenka and Murray.

Also, don't forget about the continuation of the Ryan Harrison / David Ferrer match that will be completed hopefully on Friday.

Oh My! Dick Enberg Working His Last Wimbledon

For about three decades, Dick Enberg has been the voice of Wimbledon being broadcast to America.  It used to be Dick Enberg and Bud Collins doing Breakfast at Wimbledon.

That is all in the past now and Dick Enberg is now working his last fortnight at Wimbledon.

Maybe it's for good reason as this is a clip of Enberg and Chris Evert doing commentary earlier this week.

America Gets Its Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

It took over 40 years of churning out the hits, but the timeless group, America finally got its star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“The committee has selected a fabulous slate of stars to add sparkle and luster to the Hollywood Walk of Fame over the next year, as well as to generate a once-in-a-lifetime Hollywood experience for many of the visitors who stop by when their favorite personalities are having their stars placed in the world-famous sidewalk of the stars,” said John Pavlik, chair of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Selection Committee.

“We are truly humbled and honored to be chosen to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame for the year 2012,” says DEWEY BUNNELL and GERRY BECKLEY. “Thank you to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for this wonderful gesture. We are truly thrilled that America has been chosen to be represented with this prestigious honor.”
