Want to Punch Tim Tebow?

You can if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and you download this new free app.

It's called Punch Tebow, and you can do just that.  Just punch, tap or touch the screen where you want to hit the Bronco's starting QB and he will react accordingly.

See Tebow before and then after he gets punched.

If you hit him at the right angle, his head will snap back.

I dished out more abuse on the former Heisman Trophy winner in one session than the Steelers defense did in their entire playoff game yesterday.

It's mindless, it's fun, it's a waste of time.  But it's pretty cool.

Google Releases iOS App for Gmail, then Pulls It

It's only taken four years, but Google finally got around to releasing a native Gmail app for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.  Then it got pulled from the App Store.

The new app is fast, looks nice, and adds a number of features that you don’t get with the web app.  But there apparently is a security flaw.

The Gmail app supports push notifications and audio alerts — or at least it’s supposed to.  It also allows you to autocomplete addresses by grabbing contacts from your local address book as well as your Gmail account.

The Gmail app includes touch-based gestures including the ability to refresh your inbox by pulling down on the screen. You can swipe from left-ro-right on the screen to navigate through your folders and

Priority Inbox settings. You can also now attach images to an email message.

When you use the Gmail app on an iPad, there’s a split-pane view that lets you get a good view of your what you are reading or writing.

We'll have to see exacly why it was pulled and what changes make take place.

ShopKeep App Turns Your iPad into a Cash Register

I figured it was only a matter of time before an app like this came out.

ShopKeep.com is proud to announce their ShopKeep Register App for iPad is now available on the App Store. ShopKeep Register brings full point of sale functionality to iPad, including wirelessly popping the cash drawer as well as printing receipts. The app gives small business owners the freedom to accept payment as well as check sales and inventory directly from their iPad. The app works with ShopKeep's  pay-as-you-go plan which starts at $49 a month for one register and includes unlimited support via phone, chat and email.

The ShopKeep Register solution includes the secure, encrypted iDynamo swiper that attaches to the iPad POS. Using the iDynamo and ShopKeep Register App, business owners can then swipe credit cards at the point of sale, taking full advantage of integrated credit card processing. The app then syncs directly with a user's Intuit QuickBooks account at ShopKeep.com, updating sales and inventory numbers in real-time.

ShopKeep user James Fabin of Picnics Hot Dogs, in Kirkland, Washington said, "The app has been fantastic - not only is it fast and easy to use, but it costs a fraction of other systems on the market. ShopKeep has created the perfect point of sale solution for quick serve restaurants and other small retailers."

The ShopKeep Register App is available for free from the App Store on iPad or at www.itunes.com/appstore/. The iDynamo card swiper is available for $99.00 from Mercury Payment Systems.
