Week 17: NFL Play of the Week

The Houston Texans

The Texans take on a depleted Jaguars squad today at 4:15.

For the Jags, David Garrard is out as is Maurice Jones-Drew.  The Texans aren't playing for anything at this point, and word is head coach Gary Kubiak will be returning again next season.  You can classify this as another disappointing season for the team in Houston.  I say the Texans will cover the three they are giving Jacksonville.

The Texans have proved they can hang with the best teams in the AFC as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.

This isn't my strongest play of the year, but you should be able to pony up a little and ride the Texans this week to a victory.  Take the Texans and give the 3 pts.

Week 16: NFL Play of the Week

Tampa Bay

Seattle heads east today, and that is usually never a good thing.  The Bucs are favored by 6 and that isn't enough points to hand the Seahawks.

Tampa is  4-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record in their last 6.  Tampa is playing for something and Seattle may be, but they aren't showing it with their recent play.

Go with Tampa Bay and Josh Freeman today.  They have been one of the pleasant surprises in the NFL this season and they will keep it going in week 16.

Week 15: NFL Play of the Week

The Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are traveling across the state to St. Louis, but are getting 3 points against the Rams.

Who would've thought both teams would be in the hunt for postseason play.  The Chiefs will rely on their running attack and defense today.  The Rams will rely on Sam Bradford.

The Chiefs like being a small road dog.  They are 4-1 when a road dog getting less than 3 points.  The Rams are 9-19 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a winning record.  Should be a good game anyway.  But take the Chiefs.

Bonus Pick:  Take under he 47 in the Falcons/Seahawks 4 pm game, played out in Seattle.

Week 14: NFL Play of the Week: Jets

The Jets.  Giving only 6 points to the Dolphins in New York, the Jets have to be the play of the week.  The Jets are also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss.

The Jets are just happy they don't have to play the Patriots again.  Take the Jets.

As a bonus, the total is 39.5 in this game.  Take the under.

Week 13: NFL Play of the Week

Yes, today it is the Dallas Cowboys.  Give new coach Jason Garrett a lot of credit for getting this team to play hard.  They may not be a playoff team, but they are better than the unit that was slaughtered by the Green Bay Packers a few short weeks ago.

Dallas getting 5.5 at Indy this week is a strong play.  Indy is hurting and Dallas will be ready for what the Colts throw at them.

Also, the Cowboys are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.  The Colts play well at home, but I cam see Dallas losing by a field goal as time expires, or winning the game.
