It's the holiday season and that not only means "Merry Christmas" and Mistletoe, it means the dreaded holiday travel season and that means delayed and packed flight and everything involved with flying testing your patience.

You might even have to deal with an oversold flight or a middle seat on a 737.

What to do if you find yourself in 18B, which is probably a middle seat? Let's take a look and listen...

1. Sleep and that Neck Pillow

Sleeping upright can be a possibility—even in the middle seat. Make sure you have the right neck or travel pillow for your body, whether that's a standard neck pillow, a shoulder-wrapping Travelrest Pillow, or even a jacket that converts into a pillow. Though they may not be as cuddly as their foam-filled counterparts, consider blow-up travel pillows for their space-saving qualities. For more convenience, there are now blow up travel pillows.
 

 
2. Noise-Canceling Headphones

Ask any road warrior what to look for in a pair of headphones, and they will say noise-canceling. For just a few hours, a pair of good headphones can be a middle-seat passenger's best friend. 3. Airline Apps

Make sure you have the app of the airline you are flying downloaded on your phone or tablet. If you get delayed or if there are weather problems, sometimes you can get info and make changes easier on your app, rather than dealing with a gate agent.

Carbon monoxide detectors are a lot like smoke detectors, but instead of looking for signs of fire, they detect levels of carbon monoxide. Depending on the brand, detectors operate in one of three ways: with a biomimetic sensor, metal oxide semiconductor, or electrochemical sensor.
Biometric sensors use gels that change color after absorbing a certain amount of carbon monoxide. Metal oxide semiconductors have silica chips that send electrical signals to trigger an alarm. Electrochemical sensors are considered to be the best in the industry. They use chemical solutions and electrodes that release currents to sound an alarm.

While Halloween is an exciting time for kids, it can be a nerve-racking time for parents, with safety being their top priority. Gone are the days of turning your children loose in the neighborhood to go door-to-door without a safety plan in place.

1.  Don't Let Kids Go Alone and Carry Flashlights

Children under the age of 12 should never be turned loose to go door-to-door without adult supervision.  It’s always best to go out in groups and stay in the neighborhoods you are most familiar with using the sidewalk and remaining on well lit streets as you navigate the neighborhood.
Kids should carry flashlights with fresh batteries or glow sticks so they are visible to cars and motorcycles.  Include reflector tape on the bottoms of shoes for added protection.

4.  Be Mindful of Dogs and Carry Dog Treats to Make 4-legged Friends

- Dogs don't like Halloween and Halloween Costumes.

Beware of dogs you don’t know and advise kids not to pet dogs you meet along the trick-or-treat route. Dogs can be nervous around little kids, especially ones dressed like ghouls and goblins. Have someone in your group carry dog treats to make friends.

1.  New NHL app

For hockey fans...

In one of the first major new product launches since MLB Advanced Media took control of the NHL's digital assets, the league next week is expected to roll out a new mobile app called Arena that is modeled after the Ballpark app that MLBAM introduced in 2012, according to sources close to the leagues. Think or either a "second screen" mode or  way to heep up with what is happening on each trip up and down the ice.
 
2.  BioMech

The sports biomechanical company is on the verge of something huge for the golf industry when it comes to putting. A new sensor that gets attached to your putter along with am app it set to debut.
Get immediate feedback either right on the sensor or through the app. Not only on 8-foot straight putts, but putts of any distance with breaks.

4. The new and updated Twitter App

Twitter is making a play for people’s living rooms, unveiling an app in Sept. for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Microsoft’s Xbox One that will showcase its bet on live content.
Twitter’s new free app includes live streams of 10 National Football League Thursday night games, and all live videos from MLB Advanced Media, the National Basketball Association, Pac-12 Networks, Campus Insiders, Bloomberg News and the business news start-up Cheddar. This spring, Twitter beat Facebook and other technology companies to win the rights to live stream the N.F.L. games on Thursday nights. Twitter agreed to pay the league around $1 million a game and to let the N.F.L. handle some of the ad sales. Mr. Noto once was the N.F.L.’s chief financial officer.
