NFL Week Plays of the Day: Championship Game Sunday

Two games today and I like the two favories.

New England -7 and San Francisco -2

New England has been clicking on all cylinders. so this is a pretty easy pick.

The second game isn't as easy, and it should be a good game, but I think the 49ers offense woke up last week.  Couple that with a Giants team that is due for a little bit of a letdwon following their big win over the Packers.

I like the Pats and the Niners to win today.

Australian Open Day 7: Match of the Day

Kim Clijsters and Li Na

Could be a very close match with the defending champ and Li Na from China.

Clijsters leads the head-to-head 5-2, but the two have split their last four meetings.

The Belgian won their last meeting which was right here last year.  The match went the distance and this one might as well.  In a year where there have been a lot of blow outs on the women's side, this one should live up to any advance billing.

Prediction: Clijsters in 3.

Tim Tebow Cheese Sandwich Sells on Ebay

A radio station DJ from Roanoke discovered the image in his grilled cheese he was about to eat and says it was a misplacement of butter that did the job.

"I have a pan that as far as heat distribution, it sort of wobbles around. I think just the way the heat hit the sandwich. You can clearly see this is the iconic Tim Tebow pose," said Zack Jackson from K-92's morning show.

He put the sandwich up on Ebay and last time I checked it was up to $85.

Quite a coincidence or a bad radio morning show prank, you decide.

Seattle: Snow then Ice then Rain

An ice storm closed runways at Seattle's main airport on Thursday and cut power to more than 180,000 people across the Puget Sound region.

Alaska Air Group Inc., the largest carrier at Seattle- Tacoma International Airport, planned to cancel as much as 70 percent of their schedule, President Brad Tilden said in a television interview.

Freezing rain on top of near-record snowfall yes led to ice accumulations that made travel dangerous.
Things are somewhat back to normal in Seattle today.  It's raining.
