American Idol Finalists Perform at Microsoft Store in Atlanta - Lauren Alaina

Lauren Alaina got the biggest reception from the fans at the Lenox Mall performance on Saturday, but that's for good reason, she's from Georgia!  Performing about 2 hrs from her hometwon of Rossville, Ga suits this 16-year old just fine.

He voice wasn't quite 100%, but she brought it home.

American Idol Finalists Perform at Microsoft Store in Atlanta - Haley Reinhart

She did a great job, but she doesn't have quite a voice of Lauren Alaina or the stage presence of Scotty McCreery.  Still I think there is a place for her in the music world once her Idol commitments are over.

American Idol Finalists Perform at Microsoft Store in Atlanta

It's their first performance since Scotty McCreery was crowned this season's American Idol and the unofficial kick off of the Idol's Tour.

Microsoft went all out today as they flew in the top 4: McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, and James Durbin to perform at the Grand Opening festivities at the new Microsoft Store at Lenox Mall in Atlanta.

Durbin, Reinhart, and Alaina all sang two songs before McCreery finished off the set with three well sung songs.

Observations:

Durbin has a HUGE voice, booming and fun to listen to.

Reinhart has a good voice as well and you can tell she loves to sing.

Alaina is still struggling with some of the vocal chord problems she had during finals week.

McCreery is a great performer, he has his act down pat and the crowd loved it.

I'll start out with some pictures of James Durbin.

Day 7: French Open Match of the Day - Continuation of Djokovic vs. Del Potro

Nothing was settled on Friday, so let's try again on Saturday.

It's one set all, 6-3, 3-6.  Darkness fell on Lenglen as these two warriors did battle.

It's a best of 3 come Saturday and I feel really either player could win.

Prediction: It's tough, but how about Djokovic in 5.

Your French Open Women's Champ Will Be...

Look at the face and learn the name.  Petra Kvitova.

With seeds falling everywhere else in the draw, Kvitova is disposing opponents and is possibly on her way to Grand Slam title.

Greg Garber of ESPN.com does a nice piece on Kvitova in Paris here.  http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis/french11/columns/story?columnist=garber_greg&id=6598270

I like her game, her attitude and her ability to rise to the occasion in big matches.

I have to think she will win in Paris.
