Dancing With the Stars Results: Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

Instant dances and one of the leading contenders bitten by the injury bug were the stories of last night's performance show.

It was the first show where the teams had to perform two dances that would both be graded.

The show began with an encore dance featuring Kirstie and Maks.  Once again they perform the Argentine tango.

The eliminations begin with Hines and Kirstie getting to find out their fate. Moving to the semi-finals are Hines and Kym.  Kirstie and Maks will also be in the semis.  These two teams may be the favorites.

Next up is that famous filler segment that won't go away, Dance Center.  This is where they trot Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice out to break down the competition.

Next on was Michael Bolton and an Australian singer singing Bolton's new song.

This is followed by another inspirational about how dance kept a family together.  With a father passing away, the oldest brother of this family kept dance in the family.  The family now performs on the results show.

A bonus song by Delta Goodrem as she fills in for Adele.  Adele is apparently having trouble with her voice.  A quick check of Delta Goodrem's website shows it has crashed by so many people visiting it.  She has some talent!

More Dance Center and more lame jokes.

Finally, Adele is able to perform.  She sings her hit "Rolling in the Deep."  I'm sure show producers were holding their breathe that she would perform.

The eliminations now continue.  Some good behind the scenes footage on Ralph's injury is shown.  It will be between Ralph, Chelsea and Romeo to see who goes home.

Ralph and Karina are in jeopardy, as are Romeo and Chelsie.  Chelsea Kane and Mark are in the final four.  Going home this week will be Romeo and Chelsie in a surprise.

Dancing With the Stars: Instant Dance, Instant Gratification

The remaining teams have worked hard to make it this far, but they are even going to have to work harder this week as then now are expected to perform not one, but two dances.

One of the dances will be the famous "instant dance", this is where they find out what kind of dance, and the song they will dance to, right on the spot.

I'm sure the pros have had the stars work on the basics of a dance and once they find out which dance they will do, they will add those elements in and go for it.

Two dances will mean two sets of scores.  The teams will have very little margin for error.

Here we go:

First tonight are Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas with a waltz.  Good music, nice lighting and a solid dance.  Len said that sometimes their dances are a bit theatrical, but he liked this one.  Carrie Ann thought it was a very sound dance.  They get a 29 out of 30.

Second up is Hines Ward and Kym Johnson.  Hines was on top of the leaderboard last week and he wants that spot again this week.  They do a wedding proposal theme dance to a Natalie Cole song.  It was difficult and fast paced.  He takes direction from Kym very well.  He dances much like he plays football, nothing fancy.  He does what he is supposed to do and does it well.  They get a nice 28, including a 10 from Bruno.

Next on the dance floor, Chelsie and Romeo.  Romeo has been a bit up and down.  One week good, the next he tends to take a step back.  They dance a tango that is dark and mysterious.  The judges thought it was intense and sharp.  Romeo gets a 27.

Fourth on the floor is Ralph and Karina.  Ralph is nursing an injury this week.  He has a slight knee injury, but it's not a tear.  Their dance is dark and frantic as well, kind of like a Meatloaf video.  Adrenaline helped pull Ralph through, and they get a 25.

The final individual dance of the night will be Kirstie and Maks.  Last week they were a little out of sync.  This week they get the Argentine tango.  Kirstie looks like she has improved her footwork.  A tough routine and she did well.  Len thought it was hot, and Carrie Ann thought it was her best dance.  Kirstie gets a 28.

Next up are the instant dances.

Chelsie and Mark up first with a salsa.  A little screw up to start the song as the music started early.  They seem a little off because of it, but finished strongly.  The level of difficulty was high and good choreography.  They get a 26, for a total of 55 for the night.

Instant dance #2 features Hines and Kym with a jive.  They had a lot of fun with a high energy jive.  Hines hit the beats and had some great kicks.  They made it look easy and got a 26.  A overall total of 54.

The next instant dance is Romeo and Chelsie.  Another fun dance.  Romeo was a bit off and his posture was a little lacking.  But it was entertaining and casual like a salsa should be.  They get a 25 for a 52 total.

Still smarting from his acute pain, Ralph and Karina take the floor.  Good job for the instant dance with Ralph in pain.  Karina did most of the work, but Ralph is a true performer.  They get a 21 for a total of 46.

Lastly, we have Kirstie and Maks.  Kirstie may find it hard to do the instant salsa.  She just needs to dance and not worry about everything else.  I'm not sure it was a great dance, but it was entertaining.  Good energy and good chemistry.  They get a 25 for a 53 total.

Tomorrow night Adele and Michael Bolton perform.

Dancing With the Stars Results Show: The Girl Next Door is Out the Door

After tonight, five will be alive on Season 12 of Dancing With the Stars.  Who will go?  Will it be Kendra and her attitude?  Will it be Romeo, he struggled a bit last night.  Kirstie will need the votes of her fans to stay around for another week or two.

All tonight....Liveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

We begin the show with the an encore performance of the team dance featuring Chelsea, Ralph and Romeo.

First up to find out their results are Hines and Kym, and Kirstie and Maks.  First a commercial break.

Here come the results.  Hines and Kym are safe, no surprise there.  Kirstie and Maks are in jeopardy.

Next up is a song from the overrated Nicki Minaj.  I don't get it.  We did get to see Lacey and Chelsie Hightower dance to her song, so it wasn't all bad.

Up next was an inspiring story featuring ballet dancer Patricia Zhou.  Patricia is on her way to becoming one of the best ballet dancers in the world, even though she has been in ballet for only four years.  She did a nice ballet routine with some moves that made me sore just watching her.

More eliminations coming up.  Called to the carpet are Ralph and Karina and the team of Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas.

It turns out that Ralph and Karina are safe to dance again while Chelsea and Mark are still in jeopardy.

Next, something a little different with the Macy's Stars of Dance.  Wayne Brady and a bunch of dancers did a tribute to James Brown.  Wayne is a triple threat.  He's a comic and also a very talented dancer and singer.  He could do this tribute to James Brown in Vegas and it would be a hit.

We also got to see a little behind the scenes feature where the pros tell the celebs what they need to do in the coming weeks to be a better dancer.

Our final performer of the night was singer James Blunt.  He sang his new song and we got to see a Latin dance performance with Maks' brother Val and a dancer named Dasha.

The last two couples to find out their fate are Romeo and Chelsie and the pairing of Kendra and Louis.

The next team safe is Romeo and Chelsie.  Kendra and Louis find themselves in jeopardy.

Three teams remain in jeopardy.  The next couple safe is Kirstie and Maks.  Going home this week is... Kendra and Louis.  Chelsie Kane and Mark Ballas will be back.

DWTS Results: The Walls of Jericho Come Down

Last night was a show of semi-bad music mixed with semi-good dancing.  Tonight we find out who will be the next star going home.

It could be the wrestler who lacked confidence, or might it be the former Playboy Playmate turned reality star.  Ralph Macchio and Karina had a slight fall last night, will that cost him?

Here's the results show.

More guilty pleasures as the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys kicked off the show.

Here come the eliminations, starting with Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas as well as Romeo and Chelsie.  They were the top scoring teams last night.  Romeo and Chelsie Hightower are safe.  Chelsie Kane and Mark are also safe.

Next we got to see an encore presentation of Kendra and Louis' dance from last night.  Then an interview with Ralph and Karina.  They talked about their mishap from last night and how they recovered from it.

Up for elimination next are Hines and Kym as well as Kirstie and Maks.  They love putting Maks in jeopardy to see his facial reaction.  As expected, Hines and Kym are safe and in a surprise, Kirstie and Maks are also safe.

The Macy's Stars of Dance this week does a take on the upcoming Royal Wedding.

More New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys.

Next up is Pia Toscano singing with her boyfriend Mark Ballas and Karina dancing.  She does have a nice voice.

The bottom three evidently is Chris Jericho, Kendra and Ralph.

One of these couples is safe.  It will be Kendra and Louis.

That leaves either Chris of Ralph heading home.

The votes have been counted, the judge's scores are registered, it's Chris and Cheryl heading home.  Ralph will dance again next week.

Dancing With the Stars: Hines Continues to Be MVP

It's Guilty Pleasures Week on Dancing With the Stars and that means either you're going to love the music or you're going to hate it.

I'm not sure what to expect from the dancers this week, but if the pros have a little more latitude in choreographing their routines that plays right into the hands of Mark Ballas and Maks as they know how to get the most out of their partners.

Up first tonight is Kirstie Alley and Maks.  They will be doing a Samba and it looks like they put in a lot of hard work during the week.  They will be dancing to Britney Spears, and they did ok.  It looked like Kirstie had a little trouble keeping up with Maks.  Len liked it, Bruno thought it was smooth and Carrie Ann was impressed as well.  They get a surprising 26 out of 30.

Next on the floor, Chris Jericho and Cheryl.  They get the Tango and dance to a Journey hit.  They started out a bit stiff and had a hard time recovering from it.  Carrie Ann thought it was actually a bit boring.  They get a 22.

Romeo and Chelsie Hightower are up next.  Romeo had his best performance last week.  Surprisingly they dance to a Celine Dion song.  He's setting his sights on Hines Ward and he wants 10's.  Carrie Ann thought it was "magical", Len thought he showed maturity.  They receive a 28 for their waltz.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas are next.  Mark injured his ankle during rehearsal, but he's giving it a go.  The perform to Katrina and the Waves.  Mark tries tapping into Chelsea's competitive side to improve her scores.  They did great, Chelsea kept right up with Mark.  A lot of fun and well done.  They earn a 28 and get a 10 from Carrie Ann.

Kendra and Louis are up next.  Kendra improved and looked confident last week.  She really needs a good Samba this week to have a chance to come back next week.  They dance to Ricky Martin.  Kendra really shakes it.  A high energy performance.  Her technique needs a little work, but she still gets a 25.
Here we go with Hines Ward and Kym.  He's been doing real well.  They dance to Boyz to Men.  Hines puts in a lot of practice time, so of which includes dancing with a pillow.  He's really natural out there on the dance floor.  Bruno says it's a pleasure to watch Bruno.  They get a 27.

Lastly, it's Ralph and Karina.  Ralph needs to regain the form he had in the first two weeks.  He hit rock-bottom last week.  They have the Paso this week to get back in the game.  A different look to a Paso, but the crowd loved it.  A small fall happened, but they still delivered an intense dance.  They get a 24.

Results show tomorrow night.
