Dancing With the Stars Season 13 Cast Revealed and Odds to Win

Each season, the folks over at Dancing With the Stars reinvent the show a little. It's just about showtime when a new cast is revealed and that is exactly what happened tonight.

The problem was we will have to watch that train wreck of a show Bachelor Pad to learn who will be doing the waltz, samba and other dance disciplines this fall. Wait, you don't have to watch Bachelor Pad, here they are:

A new stage set up and a new set awaits the pros and stars when the season kicks off in September.

Here are your contestants and my early odds of winning the mirror ball trophy:

Nancy Grace - This HLN talker has apparently recovered from the verdict of the Casey Anthony trial and will put her dancing shoes on. Early indications are she will be stiff and dull while dancing, but she is popular with certain segments of the DWTS voting population. Odd are 10-1

Kristin Cavalleri - She's made her living in television reality shows and in bad movies. She's coming off a broken engagement to football star Jay Cutler and she's back trying to make a name for herself. Not sure if she can dance. Odds are 9-1

David Arquette - This actor is currently separated from Courtney Cox, but can be charming when he wants to be. I bet he tries hard and lasts a while. 8-1 odds

Riki Lake - I'm sure she's a fan of the show and will work hard. She'll have big fan support. 5-1 odds

Chynna Phillips - The singer from Wilson Phillips and daughter of John and Michelle Phillips might be ok. She'll look good on the dance floor. 4-1 odds.

Rob Kardashian - What a shock, there is a Karkashian on the show again. Sooner or later every Kardashian will be on DWTS, but the only one we all want to see is Bruce Jenner. he might be good at 5-1.

Chaz Bono - I don't know what to say about this selection other than it will be awful. A longshot at 20-1.

Hope Solo - Hands down, Solo should be the favorite for the title. She's athletic, she's popular, and she looks good. I think she can dance and dance well. 3-1 odds.

Carson Kressley - Television host from Queer Eye.  I don't know what to expect from this guy, but you can bet he'll be dancing to "It's Raining Men." 12-1 odds.

J.R Martinez - An actor who had over 40% of his body burned while serving in Iraq. He also is a motivational speaker and is an actor on "All My Children." Odds to win 9-1

Elizabetta Canalis - She's Italian, she's an actress and television host, and the former girlfriend of George Clooney. Not much else is known about her dancing ability. Will the American public take to her? 7-1 odds

Elizabetta Canalis

Ron Artest - This bad boy basketball player should be interesting to watch. If he can follow directions and learn his routines, I bet he does pretty well. 8-1 odds

Dancing With the Stars: Hines Ward is MVP!

Last night was a night of impressive dances, but it's only fitting as one of these couples will win this season of Dancing With the Stars and the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

We have three different dancers with three completely different styles.  It's hard for me to predict because we don't know how the fan voting is going.  Kirstie is trailing a little after the performance, but she racks in the votes.  Hines was so good las night and football players have fared well on the show in past seasons.

The finalists will actually have one more round of dancing before the results will be read.

Some big musical acts tonight, and leading off is the Black Eyed Peas and one of their new songs.  Next was a feature on the judges and their opinions on the three finalists.

The next segment highlighted some of the contestants that were eliminated earlier in the season.  From Mike Catherwood dancing with the troupe to Sugar Ray Leonard and Kendra, they were all back tonight.

Petra reprised her waltz from week 3, and it was sung by Josh Grobin.  Kendra and Louis hit the floor next dancing to a Ricky Martin song.  She ended her routine by dancing on the judge's table before almost falling off it.

Sugar Ray Leonard was one of my favorite contestants this season.  He was introduced tonight by ring announcer Michael Buffer.  Chris Jericho also was brought out on to the dance floor.  Both took the show very seriously and if not for one bad dance they might've advanced further than they did.

Next was Wendy Williams.  They did a skit where she interviewed herself.  That skit was about as good as her dancing.

The next musical guest is the Go-Go's.  Haven't seen them in a while.  They sang 'We've Got the Beat' and Chelsie Hightower, Cheryl and Lacey were joined for this routine with Maks in a policeman uniform.

Romeo and Chelsie Hightower did their final dance.  They try to find an angle for each dancer as the season progresses, and Romeo's angle was doing it for the kids.  They had a kid's chorus singing while they danced.

Ralph Macchio will be the final dancer brought back for one final dance.  He was classy and popular with the fans as he reached the semi-finals.

Finally, the three finalists will dance their final dances.

First up is Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas.  They will redo their Viennese Waltz.  They showed clips from their last rehearsal last night and how emotional it was for them.  To me, it looked about the same as they last time they did it.  No surprise, the judges all liked it and complemented them.  They get a 30 for their final dance.

Kirstie and Maks are next.  No dancer has made more strides than Kirstie Alley.  They dance a cha cha cha.  A lot of improvement for Kirstie and Maks deserves a lot of credit.  Kirstie gets a 30 out of 30.

The honor of the final dance of season 12 belongs to Hines Ward and Kym Johnson.  They are looking to do a perfect Samba.  Another good dance.  No surprise here, they also get a 30.

Sara Evans sang a final song while highlights ofthe season played in the background.

One couple is about to be eliminated.  The third place contestant is Chelsea Kane.

The lights are dimmed and a champion is about to be named.

The winner is... Hines Ward and Kym Johnson!

Dancing With the Stars Season Finale: Freestyles Plugged into the National Grid

The final performance show of the season and three teams will be looking to impress the judges the best that can.

Chelsie Kane and Hines Ward have to be the favorites to be the final two, but never underestimate the power of the votes that Kirstie Alley is getting each and every week.

Each couple will perform two dances tonight.  The first dance will be a judge's choice and that will be followed by a freestyle.

Chelsea and Mark are up first.  Carrie Ann delivered the news they will get a samba as their first dance.  It was a red hot samba; they shook and danced to a fast beat.  Overall the judges all liked it.  She gets a 29 out of 30.

Kirstie and Maks are up next.  They met with Bruno to get their judges choice dance.  They also get a samba, Bruno wanted Kirstie to be more precise and Kirstie wants three 10's.  Maks started out almost too fast and Kirstie looked like she had a hard time keeping up.  She finished up well, they get a 27.

Len visited Hines and Kym and filled them in on what he wants to see out of a quickstep.  A quickstep that was a throwback to old Hollywood.  Hines even finished off the dance by popping a bottle of champagne.  Bruno thought it looked like a Broadway production and loes how Hines entertains the audience.  Hines and Kym get a 29 for their quickstep.

Here come the freestyles.

Chelsea and Mark are ready for their freestyle.  Mark is known for some unique freestyles.  It was fast, it was showy, it was high energy.  The dance had a little bit of everything in it.  Chelsea took to the air, she hit the ground, and almost flew out of her shirt.  The crowd loved it, the judges loved it.  They get a perfect 30.

Let's see what Maks has in store for the freestyle.  The dance included lifts, flips, and cartwheels, and that was just by Kirstie.  The crowd goes wild!  The dance was risky and they were rewarded her with a 27.

The last dance tonight will belong to Hines and Kym. I didn't know what to expect, but Hines did say it would have a marching band theme.  Hines proved not only can he lead the team to victory, he can lead the marching band.  Carrie Ann compared it to the Super Bowl.  Bruno loved the creativity.  They earn a 30.

More dancing tomorrow night, also Sara Evans, the Go-Go's and a special guest.  Let's hope it isn't Michael Bolton again.

Dancing With the Stars Results: Ralph Waxes Off

Three dances last night including a cha cha cha where 15 bonus points were awarded.  Chelsea and Mark have the edge right now as they pocketed the 15 bonus points and they are almost assured of making the finals.

It's a photo finish for the remaining two spots.  Hines and Kym had the best scores from the judges on Monday night, but Ralph and Karina and the team of Kirstie and Maks are vote getting machines.  It's anyone's guess who might get eliminated.

If you caught the end of the preview show, the couples gave us some subtle clues as to what their freestyle dances will be next week if they make it through.  Mark Ballas had that look in his eye, I'm sure he is chomping at the bit to do the freestyle.

The encore dance tonight was Chelsea and Mark's rumba.  Again they did a great job.

Some more recap of the show last night.  Hines and Kym are first up to find out their fate.  They were perfect last night and may have to be perfect again next week.  They advance to the finals.

Up next is Stevie Nicks and she's wearing black.  She didn't sing one of her most popular songs and she started out a bit rough.  Stevie will return later in the show.

Next is Pitbull and Ne Yo with their new song.  I didn't get any of it.

The next couple called onto the carpet are Chelsea and Mark.  They won the 15 bonus points last night with their cha-cha, so there is no chance they are going home tonight.  We'll see them again next week.

Up next was another one of those stories about how dance impacts people's lives.  This one was about a young girl who's body can't fight off disease.  The girl's name is Tayla and she got to perform on the show with Chelsie Hightower and Lacey Schwimmer.

Stevie Nicks is back to perform.  This time Stevie sang "Landslide" and she looked a little more comfortable.

Ralph and Kirstie are about to find out their fate. The scores have been added, the votes have been counted.  After all these dances, it's Kirstie and Maks advancing and Ralph and Karina heading home.

The finals and freestyle dances next week.

Dancing With the Stars: Kym and Hines Score a Big Comeback

Maybe next season Kym will partner with Novak Djokovic

The magic numbers tonight are 3,4, and 15.

3- There will be three dances tonight.  A ballroom, a Latin and a Cha-Cha.

4- Four couples remain and the competition should be intense to make the finals.

15 - 15 bonus points will be awarded to the couple that wins the Cha-Cha competition.

Here we go.  Liiiiiiiiive!

A dancer to keep an eye on tonight is one of the pros.  Kym Johnson injured her neck and was rushed to the hospital late last week.  Will she be ok doing three dances?

Up first will be Ralph and Karina.  Ralph was a bit injured last week and his knee feels better this week.

They decide to have Ralph wear an special bootie enhancer to help him shake it.  A nice tango to start off the night.  Len liked it, Bruno and Carrie Ann thought it lacked emotion.  They get a 25, and they will dance the salsa in the next round.

Next we have Kirstie and Maks.  Can Kirstie find the energy for three dances?  One thing for sure, Maks won't cut any corners.  Another nice dance.  The judges liked it as well.  They get a 27 out of 30.

Next on the floor, Chelsea and Mark.  Mark wants more and more intensity from Chelsea.  He also demands perfection.  They get the Argentine Tango.  A very difficult dance that they nailed.  Carrie Ann didn't think it was sharp enough.  That being said, Bruno loved it!  They get a 28.

Hines and Kym are up next.  Kym had a difficult week of practice, injuring her neck when Hines almost sat on her neck doing a difficult move.  It was almost like a pro wrestling pile driver finishing move.  They do a real nice tango.  The crowd loved it.  Len compared it to the Kama Sutra, Carrie Ann broke down and Bruno jumped out of his seat.  They get a 30 and the comeback of the week award.

On to the second dance of the night.  Ralph remains a popular celeb on the show and I'm sure he's getting a ton of votes.  He needs a big dance here.  It must be a big dance because Karina broke out the catsuit.  Fast-paced and exhausting for the dancers.  Len thought it was wild and lacked rhythm.  Carrie Ann liked it.  They get a tough 23.

Next we have Kirstie and Maks.  Kirstie was a great story to tell and she has been an inspiration to many women.  It's seems a little strange that they talk about Kirstie's past cocaine addiction, then they dance to "White Room' by Cream.  They did great and they get a 27.

Up with their second dance is Chelsea and Mark.  Chelsea has worked hard to get this far.  Another strong performance from this duo.  The judges all liked it.  Len said she fulfilled her potential.  Bruno said it was "stunning."  They get a perfect 30.

Last up in round 2 is Hines Ward.  Hines is a great football player and has become a great dancer.  I bet he has worked harder than any other dancer.  They had a lot of fun with this dance.  Kym has recovered nicely from her injury.  They get a 30 as well.  60 out of 60 for the night.

We'll wrap up the night with a winner take all cha-cha.  15 bonus points to the winner.  Two rounds of cha-cha to crown a winner.

First up is Hines and Kym vs. Ralph and Karina.  These are quick dances and very important.  Hines and Kym take the first round.

Next we have Chelsea and Mark against Kirstie and Maks.  This particular round goes to Chelsea and Mark.

So the final cha-cha will be Chelsea and Mark against Hines and Kym.  15 bonus points up for grabs.

They both did pretty good for just finding out the music three minutes ago.  Some good moves and lots of action.  The bonus points go to Chelsea and Mark.

Results tomorrow night!
